They met New Year’s eve and sparks flew.  No matter that Ryan was straight. He can’t stop kissing Darian, and touching. So much touching! For someone who’s never dated a man before, he makes an incredible boyfriend. I loved the pacing of this story. Being along for the ride as they make their way to boyfriends. And as they each try and sort out what their future will look like. They come to a crossroads, and it requires a few tears to get through (theirs and mine) For the record, I’m on team Ryan.   BENNETT Hunter Security - Book Four by Laura John Release Date: January 25, 2024 Review I love the Hunter Security series, these bodyguards and the men they fall for make me swoon and blush in equal measure. And with a hint of mystery (they have bodyguards for a reason), makes for a great story. Bennett is a great addition. He’s a lovely guy, calm, steady, caring, and great at dirty talk! The attraction between him and Archer is instant and their relationship moves quickly, but it feels natural and right for these two.  They make a really cute couple. Both of them are enamored with the other and it’s all kinds of sweet.   Things are obviously not completely smooth sailing.  Archer has an obsessed fan who’s escalating.   EMBRACING TEMPTATION Sentinel Protection Duology - Book Two by Laura John Release Date: March 5, 2022 Review Book two of the Sentinel Protection duology gives us one very bratty and high-energy bodyguard and his sexy boss and lead bodyguard who likes to give orders! Terry and Maverick are true opposites who complement each other beautifully. They have some great chemistry and banter. And aren’t too shabby in the sexy department! The care and acceptance Terry gives Maverick made my heart grow a little bigger. They make for a great pairing that keeps you on your toes and makes you smile.  You also have to love Terry’s family.  They are fantastic. It was a great addition.   FIGHTING ATTRACTION Sentinel Protection Duology - Book One by Laura John Release Date: March 3, 2022 Review Laura John tackles some tough topics in book one of the Sentinel Protection Duology. Namely sexual assault and conversion therapy. She does so with obvious care and compassion and the hope of overcoming both. Damon struggles with feeling like enough. And that’s not helped by Bruno’s hot and cold.  Bruno is a bodyguard for the band Damon manages, but they were also friends until Damon found a boyfriend. Then their friendship iced over. But one night drunken night things change when Bruno comes to Damon’s rescue in the alley outside the bar. Once these two figure out how to actually talk to one another about their feelings, it’s a pretty sweet coupling.  Bruno loves big and that’s exactly what Damon needs.
