TMI ILYBSM - Book Two by JE Birk, Rachel Ember & Leslie McAdam Release Date: December 3, 2023 Review My favourite writing throuple brings us another trio this holiday season. It’s got all the best parts of a Christmas story - small-town inter-city holiday competition, a curmudgeonly elderly newspaperman, and townsfolk who are all up in your business. But these men aren’t going to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing - Zeke, Doug, and Max are all safely on Santa’s naughty list with the fantasies they’re imagining. Get ready for some TMI! This story brings together tall and built childhood best friends Zeke and Doug. They work together as a fireman, but Doug has also been elected mayor. And he’s in the hot seat thanks to an editorial that wasn’t too kind of the truly sweet and precious Doug. Zeke is his protector and cheerleader. He may grunt a lot, but believe me he is a marshmallow of a man. Max finds his way into the middle of these two hulking men when comes to town to...

REVIEW: ILYBSM by JE Birk, Rachel Ember, & Leslie McAdam

ILYBSM  (I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH) by JE Birk, Rachel Ember, & Leslie McAdam Release Date: December 10, 2022 Review When I found out that JE Birk, Rachel Ember, AND Leslie McAdam were writing an MMM holiday book together…well, I may have squealed and done a bit of a happy dance!  I mean really, it’s a reader's dream! I don’t read a ton of MMM, but largely because it isn’t common, but I really do love a good throuple. Navigating a relationship isn’t easy at the best of times, but when it’s three people, that’s a lot of personalities, feelings, and needs to navigate. Jeb, Embry, and Adam (wonder where those names come from LOL), became tight the moment they met at college. They were all straight, but they were close, and never shy. The night before graduation though, something happened to tear Embry and Adam apart, and by extension the whole group. Jeb’s been kept in the dark and has been stuck in the middle ever since. Until one day, hopped-up on painkillers from his ...

WONDERLAND In Vino Vertias - Book Five by Rachel Ember Release Date: September 22, 2022 Review Such a great story. It was fun, kind, and not too heavy, but with great character development. Evan is awkward and an introverted tech geek, which leads to an amusing meet-cute with Dawson, his BFFs very hot straight cousin. Dawson has moved to town, looking for a fresh start after a tragic accident left his life in disarray. His football career dreams are lost bought he has a chance to find a new passion as Assistant Coach at the local high school. As these two end up forging a friendship, with Dawson trying to teach him the art of Flirting, Dawson starts to realize he may not want Evan to get any real-life experience at it. ”I don’t want to be your warm-up for the love of your life. I want to be the one.” I love a bi/pan awakening. There's something really lovely about someone coming into their feelings. Their flirting is a lot of fun, and it was great the way each of them helped the ...

REVIEW: night & day by Rachel Ember

Review: This is a really sweet and tender book with some pretty wonderful characters. Ty and Jonathan are both so kind and heartfelt and are wonderfully layered. A slow-burning romance that paves the way to a beautiful HEA. Ty has lived an unstable life thanks to parents who were frequently MIA, all the while trying to provide as much stability as possible to his younger sisters. In turn, he’s never really had a chance to live his own life or have his own passions. Jonathan appears closed off, preferring contracts to people, until you get to know him, then you discover he’s really just lost and he’s actually super gentle and compassionate and an all-around sweetheart. Watching the two come out of their shells and discover themselves in the safety of the other was the sweetness I needed today. If you’re looking for a book that feels like you’ve been wrapped up in a cozy blanket and handed a mug of tea and your favourite cookies, this book is for you. 🕮 book title by  @rachel...
