AUSTIN Learning to Love - Book Four by Con Riley Release Date: May 25, 2022 Audio Release Date: December 5, 2023 Review Every once and a while you come across the perfect author/narrator pairing.  Where you just couldn’t imagine the words brought to life by anyone else. Con Riley and Cornell Collins are one of those. They’re just meant to be. Together they create an unforgettable masterpiece.  I’ve previously read Austin when it was first released and was instantly in love (see original review below). But I’m so glad to say, I got to fall in love with them all over again with the audio version. Cornell is such a talented narrator. I hope to listen to more from him, especially if he’s paired with Con. ___________________________________ Original Review: Con Riley writes another masterful tale in the Learning to Love series.  Who doesn’t love a redemption story? And Austin was due his, which was beautiful, mushy, and sexy.  This was a story that reminds us that ...

AUDIO REVIEW: His Horizon by Con Riley (His #1)

HIS HORIZON His - Book One by Con Riley Release Date: June 30, 2020 Audio Release Date: January 12, 2021 Review I have been dying to read this series, and utterly obsessed with the covers, for quite some time. Pretty sure I could retire now to read all day long and I’d never make it through my TBR! In part because amazing authors like Con Riley keep writing new stuff.  But I digress. Back to the incredible men of His Horizon… I was utterly entranced by this story. Two men who seem so different and their drive comes from very different purposes. When they are forced together in the aftermath of so much tragedy. Both are searching for something to set their lives right, and the journey they find themselves on is full of longing, pain, regret, and love. So much love.  Rob was this steady person who never stopped giving of himself. I adored him from the very beginning. And he was absolutely perfect for Jude who was often closed off and prickly (for good reason). This was th...

AUDIO REVIEW: Luke by Con Riley (Learning to Love #3)

Image
LUKE Learning to Love - Book Three by Con Riley Release Date: February 24, 2022 Audio Release Date: March 7, 2023 Review Luke is absolutely the most incredible character to ever character. I adore him. His story is incredible. The writing is incredible. I want to live in his story forever. One should also note that narrator Cornell Collins is perfection. Cornell as Luke…a dream come true! *Original Review* Luke is the headmaster of a struggling school. He’s been fighting tooth and nail to keep it going, to give his students a place that truly cares about giving them the best start in life, not just in test scores. For a place where his teachers can do what they do best and have a home too, a place to belong. He’s fighting for everyone. What he’s missing is for Nathan, the man he’s loved his entire adult life, to fight for him. He’s carrying everyone’s weight on his shoulders, but what he needs is someone, his someone, to stand with him. ‘He ordered his soft heart to harden on the...

AUDIO REVIEW: Sol by Con Riley (Learning to Love #2)

Image
SOL Learning to Love - Book Two by Con Riley Release Date: October 14, 2021 Audio Release Date: January 31, 2023 Review I cannot gush enough about this as an audiobook.  Not only is narrator Cornell Collins incredible, but the story is also exquisite. Together they make an absolutely perfect book-on-tape (as I still call them, haha).  If I had to pick my favourite audiobook, this would be it. I was already on a mission to read everything Con Riley has ever written, now I’m adding listening to everything Cornell Collins has done to that list. The Learning to Love series is one of those must-read ones. Each one is patient and kind, and a little bit heartbreaking. And they all have heartwarming connections and happy endings that soothe your soul. Sol fits perfectly into the community of people who want to make the world (through the school) a little better. He’s a bit lost and heartbroken. Recently having taken guardianship of his nephew when his mother passed away. Losing...
