REVIEW: Kiss-Fist by EM Lindsey & Cora Rose (Deaf Hearts #1)

KISS-FIST Deaf Hearts - Book One by EM Lindsey Release Date: September 12, 2025 Review An emotional and entirely endearing story that had me tearing up all over the place. They are opposites and don’t seem like they could ever work, and not just because of the hearing/deaf reality. Which granted is pretty big.  Communication is fundamental. But they are both good men. And really it’s hard to resist Thom and his affectionate, positive outlook. I’ll admit, Thom had me all up in my feels. Growing up I secretly believed I had mild dyslexia, which i now understand (in my 40s) that it was my ADHD that caused me to struggle. Those raw emotions make me want to protect Thom with everything I have. But Robbie, despite his brusque attitude and his reluctance to want anything to do with Thom, also sees him completely. And Robbie’s family were adorable. Really they both melted my heart, and had such a sweet happy ever after. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Whoever convinced ...

REVIEW: Barn Burner by Jodi Oliver (Love the Game #2)

Image
BARN BURNER Love the Game - Book Two by Jodi Oliver Release Date: September 9, 2025 Review Such a heartwarming cowboy & NHL hockey player romance. Full of spark and tenderness.  Brayden is looking for some solitude after a devastating hockey loss, but he gets so much more when his car breaks down and Jesse, from a nearby ranch, rescues him. Jesse is guarded and wary of relationships, but he’s kind and gentle, and loves with his whole heart when he chooses to. It may seem impossible for them to be together; a ranch doesn’t allow for a lot of time off, and the NHL has a pretty brutal schedule, but when you find the one, you find a way. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I’ve ridden a Zamboni, but never a cowboy… Missing out on my first Stanley Cup has left me more torn up than I expected. It was in my sights. So close, I could almost touch it. With my brother back in England, I’m facing nothing but an empty house and my thoughts, and there’s only two ways to soot...

A SKELETON CREW ANTHOLOGY The Skeleton Crew Paranormal Cozy Series - Book Four by Dahlia Donovan Release Date: September 4, 2025 Review I really enjoyed this addition to the Skeleton Crew Paranormal Cozy series. A glimpse of the lives of other town folks, some of the lore that builds the world, and further details of the history of the town. I’m still lobbying for Emrys and Jonatan to get their own series, but I did enjoy learning more about these two and their tumultuous history. A fun way to close out a series and continue all the wonderful cozy vibes. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Come sit by the fire with tea and your knitting needles—and take a deeper dive into the world of South Myrddin. From fated mates to ships passing in the night to an ill-fated romance and more, the anthology puts a magnifying glass on many in the village.
