REVIEW: Ancient History by AJ Truman (South Rock High #1)

ANCIENT HISTORY South Rock High - Book One by AJ Truman Release Date: August 30, 2022 Review I may actually like this series more than the Single Dads Club, which says something because I love those sexy dads A LOT! Amos and Hutch are sweet, sexy, and fun in equal measure.    “Before we could continue our telepathic foreplay, his players dumped the water cooler of Gatorade on his head. Hutch’s white polo shirt became see-through, so really, we all won tonight.” Amos is a teacher at the high school he graduated from, South Rock High, in the same town he grew up in. He’s out and proud now, and he’s surrounded himself with some amazing friends whom he also works with. Life is good. In walks the new, gorgeous, gym teacher and soccer coach. Who also happens to be his high school ex who broke his heart. As these two reunite, it’s all kinds of awkward. Amos wants nothing to do with the man who broke him, but damn if doesn’t still find him all kinds of sexy. And charming. What ensues is a wo

REVIEW: Sinful Mafia Prince by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine (The Malvagio Duet #2)

SINFUL MAFIA PRINCE Malvagio Due - Book Two by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine Release Date: August 29, 2022 Review What’s the point of fighting to reign over an entire city if you can’t make the rules and have everything you want? The conclusion of the Malvagio Duet is one that proves the heart never listens to the brain, even if it means running towards possible death. The first book (Forbidden Mafia Prince) was dark and brutal, while this one is more heart-racing and intimate. I enjoy the contrast. And here we get to really understand who they are, what motivates them. It works really well. The ending was fantastic for these two, the perfect balance of Luca & Dom merging their lives. The only thing that would make this better is for Chef to get his own story! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis “They took something that belonged to me— and nothing will stop me from getting him back.” The Fiores have made their move. In a last-ditch effort to save their crumbling empire

REVIEW: Extended Stay by Mia Monroe (California Crush #1)

Image
EXTENDED STAY California Crush - Book One by Mia Monroe Release Date: February 9, 2022 Review I’m a little behind in getting started in this series, but I’m not mad because now it means I can binge the next books. I love a slow burn, and these two didn’t disappoint. This is a mature and loving friends to lovers, double not-so-straight awakening. Atlas is called to San Diego when his uncle winds up in hospital. When he arrives he discovers the hotel that his Uncle owns is in dire straights and he begs Atlas to help it out. With a life and a job in New York, he agrees to stick around for a bit to help get it back on track. Like an angel, Rome shows up to offer his help in renovating the hotel.  He’s broke and currently homeless thanks to a breakup with his ex, so this is an opportunity for him to get back on his feet. They seem like complete opposites. Atlas seems like a stuffy suit-wearing New Yorker, while Rome is a laid-back California type, but they quickly find they have a lot in
