REVIEW: Evan by Lark Taylor (The Wild Edges #2)

Image
EVAN The Wild Edges - Book Two by Lark Taylor Release Date: January 2, 2026 Review Incredible! I’ve been dying for Evan and Reid’s story since book 1. The hurt, guilt, anger, and love are so palpable, and the story is so tragic. One moment in time - carried so much emotion for the next 13 years. And now they must contend with their feelings and the decisions they made in the past, all under the threat of Reid’s family looking to wage war. It’s not an easy story. Not an easy journey. But damn it was so worth everything they went through to get to such an incredible and loving ending. I adore Evan - he’s such a great guy who proves that one mistake doesn’t change that. But he never shies away from that fateful decision. And Reid…I get him. His journey from anger to forgiveness was special. He made mistakes, too, and finding forgiveness for both Evan and himself was huge. But also, how great was it for him to find such a wonderful and loving family! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LI...

It’s an emotional story with plenty of light-hearted moments as well. They both have their baggage, which an incident leading forced proximity forces out into the open. Allowing the two step-brothers to finally understand each other better.  Their journey is sweet, but a little rocky. But with each of them balancing the other out, they are something beautiful. Narrators Liam DiCosimo & Alexander Cendese do an amazing job and really capturing the two men’s personalities, as well as all the emotions they went through. He’s an amazing dad, but he hasn’t considered his own happiness. Now he’s spending Christmas with his neighbour, and I’m pretty sure Santa has granted all their wishes. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Is it 'stranger danger' if the stranger involved is one of Santa's Elves? The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to be a good dad to my daughter.
