AUDIO REVIEW: Bishop by AE Via (True Lover's Stories #1)

BISHOP True Lover’s Stories - Book One by AE Via Release Date: September 27, 2019 Audio Release Date: March 31, 2020 Review Wow, this story grips you by the throat and refuses to let you look away till the very end. It is angsty AF, not really between the couple, but their personal stories…gah. Bishop is out of prison and trying to right his life. Working at his father’s landscape company, with an incredible gift of landscape design, the world around him, the judgment of other people, seems determined to see only his ‘failings’. All those except the people whom he calls family, and one very sweet and kind office executive, Edison. Edison is a good person. Kind, thoughtful, with a passion for cooking, he, too, is well familiar with the judgment of others. Colleagues who think he’s boring, snide remarks about his weight. He’s never had someone who sees him as gorgeous and interesting, until Bishop. They may seem like vastly different people, but if you look past the outer shell, th...

AUDIO REVIEW: His Hart's Command by AE Via (Nothing Special #6)

HIS HART’S COMMAND Nothing Special - Book Six by AE Via Release Date: November 26, 2018 Audio Release Date: December 12, 2018 Review I love it when two badass men (in their own right) have a crush on one another, that everyone knows about but all their friends pretend like they don’t.  There’s a great connection between Hart and Free right of the bat, and it makes for some adorable bashfulness. They have their reasons for being gun-shy about putting themselves out there, you can’t help but cheer them on. I was really taken by both of them and I was enthralled by the whole storyline. Especially Free’s previous life. My other favourite part of this story was that it showed a lighter side to God, Day and their team. This whole story had a perfect balance of romance and suspense. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis S.W.A.T Edition. Lennox Freeman (Free) is one of the best hackers in the world which has caused him to spend most of his life on the run. Never able to put d...

AUDIO REVIEW: Nothing Special V by AE Via

NOTHING SPECIAL V Nothing Special - Book Five by AE Via Release Date: December 12, 2016 Audio Release Date: October 20, 2019 Review This was an interesting addition to the super hot Alpha cop series. It brought us a new couple, but it was also a progression of the original couple God & Day. Steele is in need of a fresh start and has to prove himself on this new team. Tech is looking to prove himself as more than a tech geek. They get off to an awkward start, made more awkward by their mutual attraction. But in the same breath, both men fail to understand how the other could possibly like them. The team is happy about Steele’s arrival, and they are overprotective of Tech, so you get some fun interactions along the way. The blending of the two couples' stories made for an engaging novel and gave us a chance to reconnect with old favourites that are ever present throughout the series. Again, narrator Aiden Snow was made for this series. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synops...

And the longer they fight the pull, the more their walls come down, and the hotter they get.  Just as things start to look up, tragedy strikes and mistakes are made.  Somewhere along the way, hate turns to respect turns to love.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS STORY Detective Austin Michaels didn’t think life could get any better after he was accepted into the most notorious narcotics task force on the East Coast, headed up by two of the baddest’ Lieutenants with the Atlanta Police Department - Cashel Godfrey and Leonidis Day.
