FINN  Ashley James Release Date: March 6  Meet Ashley James: Ashley James is a romance author who enjoys writing (and reading) LGBTQIA+ books. She is from Washington State—and no, not Seattle—and currently resides in South Carolina with her two kids and hairless kitties, Goose, Maverick, and Houston. Ashley is introverted and slightly (okay, majorly) awkward. She refuses to make this section sound like a tacky dating app profile, so she won't be telling you how much she enjoys music, how she thoroughly enjoys dancing and singing in her kitchen, despite not being able to carry a tune, and she won't be telling you about her love of toxic and broken fictional men. Connect with Ashley James: https://authorashleyjames.com/links/   Blurb: Falling for my girlfriend’s twin brother wasn’t what I had in mind when I hired him to be my son’s nanny. Working on my family’s cattle ranch, the hours are long, and sometimes unpredictable, so when my regular nanny quits, leaving me i...

REVIEW: Just Jack by Christina Lee (Aqua Vista #1)

Image
JUST JACK Aqua Vista - Book One by Christina Lee Release Date: January 9, 2025 Review Aqua Vista is a perfect little town. A little quirky and fun, and a lot wonderful. The kind of town that will do anything for its neighbours. Especially when half the neighbours are your family. Jack and his family have deep roots in the town, they also have experienced a tragedy that rocked them and the town to its core. He’s also unlucky in love. When city boy Aaron rolls up to his station one unforgettable night seems perfect. But when he comes back with an offer, our grumpy local is skeptical. It’s a fantastic story that this both light and lovely, while also being deep and introspective. There is a lot of soul searching and growth, and wraps you up in a lovely HEA that will make you smile, while eagerly anticipating what comes next. REVIEW: The History Between Us by Ashley James (Copper Lake #4)

Image
THE HISTORY BETWEEN US  Copper Lake - Book Four by Ashley James Release Date: August 30, 2024 Review Ashley James is a talented writer and can make you feel all the emotions right from the first page. And this forbidden dad’s best friend age-gap romance does just that. The kind of story that keeps you guessing about how they’ll possibly find their way to each other. It took me a moment to warm up to Colt, he’s a bit immature and brash, and I don’t love it when someone enjoys making someone else uncomfortable. Even if it’s because of some intense chemistry. But of course, you love him anyway, and you especially love him with William. They really are a wonderful couple. I’m not sure I’m emotionally ready for the next book, I just know it’s going to make me cry, but I’m here for it. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis There are some things you just don’t do… Don’t lie. Don’t steal. Don’t break the law. And absolutely do not, under any circumstance, sleep with your best...

REVIEW: The Tighthead by Charlie Novak (Lincoln Knights #1)

Image
THE TIGHTHEAD Lincoln Knights - Book One by Charlie Novak Release Date: August 13, 2024 Review Oh geez, I am completely smitten with Mason and Ryan as a couple.  They are just so sweet together, and I loved the progression of their relationship. No crazy drama, but also not fluffy. It’s full of delicious steam, great banter and lots of exploration. They were also tender and caring. Supporting each other in only the way two people meant for each other can. They were really good at communicating, not so good at hiding their feelings and activities! Mason is a sweet golden retriever of a man - strong, thoughtful, and he makes me mushy. Which is a perfect pairing for Ryan - Legs. The fabulous, self-assured, and talented drag queen. He gets a little mushy for Mason too!  There are lots of old friends - I love the mix of the Rugby team and The Court drag queens. As well as their forays into DnD. It was super fun.  Don’t forget the in-depth descriptions of sexy, sweaty ru...

REVIEW: Burning the Midnight Oil by Ashley James (Copper Lake #3)

Image
BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL Copper Lake - Book Three by Ashley James Release Date: June 7, 2024 Review "Whether I like it or not, I feel a pull toward him, one that is confusing, but maybe we don't have to decipher it. Maybe we can just be." Straight and having feelings for his brother-in-law - talk about awkward!  This is a slow burn as Boone processes his divorce and subsequent changing feelings for a man, let alone his ex-wife’s brother.  I adored Boone, and have been so excited about his story, he’s a fantastic man and a lovely father. I feel protective of him. As such I want to have some words with Shooter. LOL It’s definitely a forbidden romance, even if not entirely, which definitely makes for some angst and a lot of push and pull. As lovely as they are together, I have to say, Jade is a better woman than me because I wouldn’t be so forgiving!! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Rule number one: Don’t fall for my brother in law. It should be easy, right? W...
