REVIEW: Strictly Curious by Joelle Lynne

Image
STRICTLY CURIOUS by Joelle Lynne Release Date: January 31, 2023 Review This has all the sweetness, angst, and awkwardness you expect from teenagers.  Especially when one is questioning his sexuality and, well, they are stepbrothers. I don’t understand why stepbrothers is considered taboo, I mean, I get that it can complicate family dynamics, but otherwise… *shrugs* It does make for a good story though. And there is a lot of feeling in this story. Garrett and Tyler are unexpectedly made stepbrothers when their parents go away for a conference. At 10 years old, they were confused, but they found solace in each other. And that didn’t change as the years went by. When their perception of each other changes, they are forced to face their feelings for one another, and what others will think of their relationship. It’s a fast-paced story that is chalked full of emotions but is low in angst. Highly recommend it if YA and step-brothers appeal to you. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synops

AUDIO REVIEW: Irresponsible Puckoby by Eden Finley and Saxon James (Puckboys #2)

IRRESPONSIBLE PUCKBOY Puckboys - Book Two by Eden Finley & Saxon James Release Date: May 11, 2022 Audio Release Date: June 10. 2022 Review What a wild ride! These two are an absolute mess, in the most hilarious and adorable way. Dex is the most ridiculous, clueless, adorable puppy dog of a man! He’s always so upbeat and has no boundaries with his best friend and teammate Tripp. He was clueless about Tripp’s feelings towards him. In fact, he was clueless about his own feelings toward Tripp. When they find themselves accidentally married, Dex is all in. But Tripp can’t believe it’s real. So maybe Dex isn’t the only clueless one in this duo. Watching Dex figure out his feelings, and seeing Tripp get everything his heart could desire was the best thing ever. These were magic together. I am team Dex and Tripp forever! Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese of course are wonderful as our boys. Love them as the narrators, and they were perfect. REIVEW: Textual Connections by Becca Jackson (Love in No Man's Land #1)

TEXTUAL CONNECTIONS Love In No Man’s Land - Book One by Becca Jackson Release Date: January 16, 2023 Review I love debut novels. I love being there at the beginning of an author's journey. And Becca Jackson’s Textual Connections is a sweet and flirty one. It’s two men in their 40s that find their home and their dreams together. What happens when two men meet online and in the real world and find themselves falling for both? And when you discover they might be the same man?! I love the parallel connection trope, it’s fun and modern, and cute, and I really liked both of these guys.  They were likeable and kind. I also enjoy the kind of second-act theme. Life sometimes brings you to a place where you need to figure out what comes next and pivot some. And both Mal and Bear have found themselves in that place. But they discover it’s even better with someone else. I look forward to see who’s next in this Love In No Man’s Land Series. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Mal I t

REVIEW: Drive to Thrive by CD Rachels (Formula Q #1)

DRIVE TO THRIVE Formula Q - Book One by CD Rachels Release Date: January 16, 2023 Review I really enjoy CD Rachels writing style and characters. I loved his Artists and Athletes series. They were all so wonderful, with such unique stories. So I was excited to see where he went from there with this new Formula Q series. I wasn’t disappointed. Their story is sweet. Damon and Rocky have a slow build from nurse/patient to friends to lovers, and it’s all kinds of lovely.  A closeted race car driver and an out-and-proud nurse. Is Damon worth going back into the closet for? Or can Damon find the strength needed in Rocky’s love to live out loud? There’s a lot of fear for Damon to come out. What will his parents think? Or the race car world? The other drivers? He could lose everything. But he’s never really needed to come out. Until Rocky. Rocky, who makes him come alive. Makes him realize how bright his life can be with someone to love and to come home to. It’s a great book with a lot of won
