AUDIO REVIEW: Finn's Find by Gabbi Grey (Love In Mission City Novella)

Image
FINN’S FIND Love in Mission City - Novella by Gabbi Grey Release Date: February 21, 2026 Audio Release Date: February 19, 2026 Review This was a fun very short little audiobook, a teaser to their full story. Firefighter and sexy man on a bike. A man who happens to be in town for a new job and a mission that could get complicated. It’s definitely intrigued me to the full story, ‘Ulysses’ Ultimatum’. Narrated by Michael Dean, who’s a fantastic narrator, it was an enjoyable listen. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Finn I'm not the kind of guy who lusts after strangers, but the man pulling up next to me on his bike is muscular and hot as hell. I let myself look, and he gives me a scorching grin in return. Then the light turns green, he peels away, and I figure I'll never see him again. Except he almost gets hit by a minivan, and I stop to make sure he's okay. Inviting him back to my place to make sure he has no lasting damage is just professional care, but damn, U...

REVIEW: Lost at the Crossing by Nicky James (Rail Riders #2)

LOST AT THE CROSSING Rail Riders - Book Two by Nicky James Release Date: November 29, 2021 Audio Release Date: April 20, 2026 Review Obsessed with this series, it’s stunning, engaging, and tugs at my heartstrings. Tyler has been trying to find the boy and fellow rail rider who disappeared a long while ago. He’s desperate, not only because he’s started developing feelings for him, but because he needs to know Elian is okay. Elian struggles with how the world sees him and its lack of acceptance. He’s only had two people have his back.  His brother, and now, Tyler. They reunite, but sorting out a future isn’t straightforward or easy, but their journey is gorgeous and touching. The audiobook is wonderful, Nick J Russo is perfect for the style and the author. Truly captivating. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Two lost boys. Two long years. One path back to each other. Elian has lost two major anchors in his life, and he can’t figure out how to get back on track, so h...

REVIEW: Between the Pipes by Kate Bauer (The Games We Play - Season Two)

Image
BETWEEN THE PIPES The Games We Play - Season Two by Kate Bauer Release Date: January 2, 2026 Review Between the Pipes is a short MMM romance.  The shortness makes doing MMM even harder - trying to develop three characters in a novella is tricky. So while I did enjoy the book and the characters, it felt like it was missing some meat to the story. The mix of men is fun, and I enjoyed their varying journeys and life experiences. I made them an interesting blend and gave them many ways to connect and support each other. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Isaiah Charming was the hottest goalie in his college division last year. He hoped to make it all the way to the big leagues. Unfortunately, he got drafted to the worst franchise in the league and stuck on the lowest tier of the minors to start the season. Chase Kinsey had two things he loved - hockey and Tim. Only Tim has moved on to a younger man, taking control of the season tickets Chase paid for. After moving to a...

REVIEW: Side by Side by Jordan Clayden-Lewis

Image
SIDE BY SIDE Games We Play - Book One by Jordan Clayden-Lewis Release Date: May 26, 2026 Review This is a cute co-worker rivalry turned romance, between Kallen and Dan. Trying to make it in a competitive industry of media and content writing. Working for a company that doesn’t much care for their workers and forbids relationships because, for no better reason than the boss doesn’t like it. As Kallen and Dan feel the pressure at worker, they are feeling something else when they end up sharing a bed on assignment. Now they are sorting out their feelings, worrying about their jobs, living, and life, but when they start working on those things together, they find themselves a pretty sweet life. I enjoyed the writing, but I felt they could have used a bit more time on the page to better establish their connection. But I’ll definitely be back for more. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Love wasn't in the job description. Kallen Jeffries has reached a few milestones before t...

REVIEW: Obsessed by Sonia Blue (The Pointe Love #3)

Image
OBSESSED The Pointe of Love - Book Three by Sonia Blue Release Date: May 14, 2025 Review I enjoyed the writing style and the world-building. The characters, including the side characters, felt well-developed. Rain and Mason each have issues that leave them feeling slightly damaged. When Mason takes Rain into his house in exchange for some modelling, these two become intertwined and slightly co-dependent. I will provide my unpopular opinion…Rain is actually more problematic than Mason. Mason is billed as the problem, but Rain, while holding Mason’s feet to the fire for his f-ups, never really owned up or made amends for his. Which were significant. But once they found a way through their personal issues, they made a really wonderful couple. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis How can you fall in love when you don’t believe in it? Rain Bardot doesn’t date. He doesn’t do relationships. They never work out so why waste time? The best part is what happens in the bedroom. Bes...

REVIEW: Not Dead Yet by Jenn Burke (Not Dead Yet #3)

Image
NOT DEAD YET Not Dead Yet - Book One by Jenn Burke Release Date: February 4, 2019 Review I love the detective/supernatural combo in a romance book so much! I mean, I love detective, suspense-type romances. Period. But the added supernatural component makes it all the more intriguing. Wes is not dead. Alive but not alive. Dead but not dead. It puts him in a weird, immortal life that keeps him from being able to create ties to people. Case in point, he had tried with Hudson, but between his ‘affliction’ and Hudson being in a bad place at the time, they fell apart. But now their lives are crossing paths over a murder, and it seems prudent to work together. Blending Hudson’s abilities as a detective and Wes’ unique skill set, they have a chance of getting to the bottom of the issue. I do recommend the audiobook.  Greg Boudreaux is a really good narrator, and I find fantasy/supernatural stories are often more fun in audio.
