REVIEW: Hateful Love by T. Ashleigh & Addison Beck (King of Aces #1)

Image
HATEFUL LOVE King of Aces - Book One by T. Ashleigh & Addison Beck Release Date: February 1, 2024 Review That was a freakin’ fantastic story! This book is on the longer side, so when I went to bed to read at 8 pm I knew I wouldn’t finish it all.  Well, that was a lie I told myself because let me tell you, I barely even noticed when the clock chimed midnight and I was still reading. I was so utterly engrossed in this story that I could have been on fire and not noticed. Firstly, the prologue…wow, so touching, and gave such a fantastic incite into Silas. It’s a common story, two guys from different ‘sides of the track’ hate one another. Prejudices run high, assumptions are made. It would be difficult to imagine them ever being civil to one another, let alone falling in love. When I reached 50% I was thinking, okay, this is good, but I can’t imagine what’s left to cover over 200 pages…but let me tell you, that is when things really heated up and you knew you wouldn’t be put...

REVIEW: Resting Beach Face by DJ Jamison (Swallow Cove #4)

Image
RESTING BEACH FACE Swallow Cove - Book Four by DJ Jamison Release Date: February 20, 2025 Review Declan is so beautiful. Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis He could have anyone he wants...so why is he so interested in me? Cash is a gorgeous chaotic bi guy with a reputation for getting around. And me? I'm the antisocial grump, closed off and lonely. We should be like oil and water....

REVIEW: The Curious Mountain Man by Casey Cox (Movin' to the Mountains #2)

Image
THE CURIOUS MOUNTAIN MAN Movin’ to the Mountains - Book Two by Casey Cox Release Date: December 13, 2023 Review I’m really loving this novella series about 3 brothers, all drooly-worthy mountain men. They are quick reads, but all the romance & sexiness we love in a story. Now, I think Branum may be my favourite so far.  I’m pretty much putty for the sexy man who’s successful in business but still willing to try for something that makes him feel vulnerable. And he’s a sweetheart.  He tries to be all romantic like the books PJ reads, and it’s absolutely heart-melting to picture the large, built man being all sweet and wooing for this man. Picturing him in the lake naked also helps my assessment of him too and really makes me want to take up birdwatching. And PJ is a lovely human being who deserves all the love and care Branum will bestow on him.  They are a sweet couple to picture.  I’m intrigued to get to know that oldest brother.
