MARRIAGE IS MURDER Sawyer & Royce: Matrimony and Mayhem - Book Two by Aimee Nicole Walker Release Date: April 19, 2022 Audio Release Date: August 16, 2022 Review Our boys are getting married!! But even a pending wedding doesn’t stop the murderers and criminals.  On top of trying to solve the crime, Royce’s family seems to be both healing and fracturing even more, all at the same time. And Sawyer’s still having to contend with the hateful Sheriff. There are new friends along the way, and so much love. Love between Sawyer and Royce, but also love from family and friends.  I’m also really enjoying the new work partner dynamics.  Aimee is such a clever writer but I also have repeat how much I love these books as audiobooks.  Tristan James is such a talent.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Spring is in full bloom, love is in the air, and Cupid has taken deadly aim in Savannah. Newly engaged, Royce Locke and Sawyer Key are ready to set the date...

AUDIO REVIEW: The Magnolia Murders by Aimee Nicole Walker (Sawyer & Royce: Matrimony and Mayhem #1)

The Magnolia Murders Sawyer and Royce: Matrimony and Mayhem - Book 1 by Aimee Nicole Walker Release Date: February 14, 2022 Audio Release Date: May 10, 2022 Review Sawyer and Royce are hands down one of the best couples/series around. I’m obsessed, and lucky for me (and you), there are multiple series for them! *Start with Zero Hour* Matrimony and Mayhem witnesses our men progressing toward marriage, all while dealing with life’s complications, facing off with their enemies, and being detectives for the Savannah Police Department. Part of what makes the series so incredible is Aimee’s daft skill at writing dialogue and banter. It’s partly why they make such excellent audiobooks (other than Tristan James’ skill as a narrator). It really brings the characters alive and makes you feel like you are there with them. A murderer has seemingly resurfaced, murders that lead to the deaths of Magnolia Queens, at the same time, their career paths are taking new directions, and everyone is in...

Image
IT’S WITCHCRAFT Criminal Intentions - Season One, Episode Five by Cole McCade Release Date: November 10, 2018 Audio Release Date: March 7, 2023 Review This is such an interesting and enthralling series.  Following the lives of detective partners Malcolm and Seong-Jae, the cases they investigate and the teasing romantic interest in each other. The cases are dark and disturbing, and the men are complicated and definitely not shiny, happy people. They are combustible and frequently at odds, yet they are drawn to one another. This latest case is disturbing and uncovers a truly frightening underbelly of wealthy people.  Along the way, secrets are teased, and Malcolm and Seong-Jae seem to be making progress together and yet not at all.  It’s a kind of one step forward - one step back kind of situation. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis ABOUT THIS EPISODE An eerie ritualistic murder sends Malcolm and Seong-Jae down a bizarre path of the occult to find a killer-...
