PRETTY FLY FOR A VAMPIRE GUY by Leslie McAdam & CD Rachels Release Date: June 30, 2025 Review Such a cute story with a vampire who’s a little touchy about his age, and an adorable nerd with a vampire fetish. It’s all awkward flirting until they are bonded by the cutest bat familiar that could bat. Bat Nathanson!  These two are super cute, and I loved how they helped build each other's confidence in all ways. Together, they find love and a bright future. It’s a fun read that’s relatively light, fast, and uplifting.  So if you like cute monsters…this is the book for you. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Clay I suck at being a vampire—literally. When the Halloween Wave turned a third of the population into monsters, I thought I was one of the lucky ones. I get to have my fit twenty-year-old body for decades. And vampires are supposed to be sexy, right? But now that I’m finally in university, I still don’t fit in. I was supposed to find myself and spread my ...

REVIEW: Ferocious by Leslie McAdam (IOU #6)

FEROCIOUS IOU - Book Six by Leslie McAdam Release Date: April 13, 2025 Review Such a fun and wild ride.  I love the feral gremlin-not twink / buttoned-up lawyer-not a daddy, opposites attract vibes.  It was such an unexpected mix that led both of them to finding the safety and acceptance to be their true selves. It had some twists and turns that kept things interesting, but through it all it was really about figuring themselves out, reexamining themselves, and finding their family. I also loved the kink aspect - I love primal play - but I especially love two people finding their perfect match. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis When a scrawny, pink-haired ragamuffin tries to rob me at knifepoint, I respond the way any sensible person would and invite him to dinner—where he proceeds to threaten my entire ten-year plan simply by being his effervescent self. Much to my annoyance. There’s no room in my life for a gorgeous criminal named Rowan. I need to check off ...

REVIEW: The Nokk and The Jock by Leslie McAdam (Creepin U #1)

Image
THE NOKK AND THE JOCK Creepin U - Book One by Leslie McAdam Release Date: October 1, 2024 Review I think Leslie is my author spirit - her writing style, sense of humour and cultural references all make me want to be her best friend! I thoroughly enjoyed this Monster University tale with some folklore, sports, and a little bit of studying. Brandon is among the first humans to be admitted to a historically monster-only university.  He’s determined to befriend his new roommate, even if it’s a very emo Nokk who is not at all comfortable in his own skin.  Getting to know each other is perfectly awkwardly sweet. Steven (aka Nokk) is up in his head that he forgets to take care of himself and Brandon is sure he can win him over with his cheer and gifts. The paranormal is a fun twist to the story, but it’s the care and support they show each other that really stands out. I want to wrap them both up in a hug. I would love to see Leslie do more in the paranormal realm. Add to your...
