REVIEW: A Foot in the Door by Vinni George

Review: A lovely, laid-back, and amiable story of two super likable characters. Beckett is a good-natured professor with a sweet habit of wanting to save people. And when he and Tanner run into each other at a conference, Tanner is definitely in need of some saving! But their relationship is so much more! Something clicks with them, their bond is deep. I enjoyed this take on the professor/student relationship, not your typical forbidden fruit trope, but rather a complication to achieving one's dreams. Would good communication have made their lives easier? Of course, but then we would be out of a story. What’s more, this story has a lot of wonderful friends and family and a very lovely Happy Ending. I also appreciated that though it had drama, it wasn’t super angsty. I do read a lot of angst and sometimes it’s nice to not have your heart stomped on, rather just have an enjoyable story.
