REVIEW: Boy Meets Monster by Leslie McAdam (Creepin U: Season 2)

BOY MEETS MONSTER Creepin U: Season 2 Series by Leslie McAdam Release Date: October 1, 2026 Review A meet-cute it was not. Being knocked down by a streaking frat monster is not the best first impression. Granted, Matt also has some baggage toward frat types. But Caleb is determined to win over the cute boy. Or, better described as relentless. And Matt may be resistant at first, but he learns the true character of Caleb and is eventually won over. Even when he discovers that the two frat rivals are rivalling over him! I really like Matt’s growth throughout the story.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Matt : Only I could end up in a love triangle between two people. Caleb : Your geometry has a certain logic, given our circumstances. Caleb : Except it can’t be “only” you since you’re conveniently forgetting the second person in this triangle. Matt : I am not. You’re unforgettable. Matt : I see you preening over there. Caleb : What can I say? When you look as good as...

REVIEW: Crash Course by Hayden Hall (The Boys of Elmwood U #3)

CRASH COURSE The Boys of Elmwood U - Book Three by Hayden Hall Release Date: August 27, 2026 Review A bit of touching second chance moments, and some fun chaotic rom-com dating disasters.   A for effort to Finn’s friends for trying to turn matchmaking into a science project, but their methodology is definitely flawed!! LOL Cue some downright terrible, bizarre, and hilarious dates.   But then there’s Jesse, his childhood ‘almost something’ who had disappeared from his life, leaving a void.  He suddenly appears on campus.  They dance around each other, feeling a connection but also knowing they actually don’t know each other anymore. So they slowly move toward a pretty sweet HEA.   This is lighter fare that some of the Hayden’s recent works, full of warmth and humour.   Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I came out first. I started dating first. And somehow I’m still single. My ...

REVIEW: One More Dare by Lexi Amber & Bec Benson (Cove Lake College #1)

Image
ONE MORE DARE Cove Lake College - Book One by Lexi Amber & Bec Benson Release Date: July 29, 2026 Review A pleasant, warm, university-age romance, with some classic fun and lightheartedness expected by that age group. I enjoyed the bi-awakening storyline.  It was well done and engaging. But most importantly, I loved the opposite worldview kind of vibe that made them their own people, but also brought them together. And the not dating, but actually dating was a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to meeting more of the other side characters. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Will The last two and a half years have been all about living life to the fullest, enjoying my time at college, the glory years and all that, but that doesn’t mean I’m a jerk. I’ve always considered myself to be a decent person, but a few conversations with my new debate partner, Porter Johnson, are enough for me to realize how self-centered I’ve been. I like who I am around him, and I’m determ...

REVIEW: Double Dared by Hayden Hall (The Boys of Elmwood U #2)

Image
DOUBLE DARED The Boys of Elmwood U - Book Two by Hayden Hall Release Date: June 18, 2026 Review This is a lovely story, on the lighter side of Hayden, but no less beautiful and touching. Greg and Harrison have a fun, lightheartedness while still being very real. And what starts as a dare/fake dating ends with pure love and happiness.  This is one of those stories that brings a smile to your face and leaves you with a pleasant afterglow. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I'm not the kind of guy who turns down a dare. This is a lifestyle choice. I have committed to it fully, proudly, and without a single second thought. So when Greg pointed across the bar at a man reading poetry alone in a black turtleneck and said "get him to agree to a date," I was halfway out of the booth before the sentence finished. Enter Harrison: film student, built like an athlete, reads like a scholar, and has clearly never once left the house without putting on a fashion show for stra...
