REVIEW: Anson's Ambition by Quinn Ward (Heart of Harmony Grove #5)

ANSON’S AMBITION Heart of Harmony Grove - Book Five by Quinn Ward Release Date: April 18, 2024 Review I love Anson. And I love him even more with Kevin. He is sucked into Kevin’s vortex and no matter how much he tries (which I argue wasn’t very hard), he can’t stay away. Anson is a loner, stuck in his own head, and a workaholic. If it wasn’t for his dog, he probably wouldn’t even know any of his neighbours. Which is exactly how Kevin ends up in his life. Kevin himself is a very lovely guy. A police officer with a desire to help build the community, and a sweet relationship with his mother. He’s also handy with tools and good with dogs. So…ya know…perfect boyfriend! I love their dynamic. A friendship built on shared dinners and a shared dog.  And I really appreciated the way they supported each other in their ambitions. REVIEW: Carson's Comfort & Joy by Quinn Ward (Harmony House #4)

Image
CARSON’S COMFORT & JOY Heart of Harmony Grove - Book Four by Quinn Ward Release Date: December 21, 2023 Review I love it when it’s been a while since you’ve visited a series, and as you’re reading you get those ‘awww’ moments when an old couple or peripheral people show up, and you’re transported back. It’s a lovely feeling and add in Christmas and I’m all warm and fuzzy. Carson is a reluctant celebrator of Christmas. He’s a warm caring man with a soft center that just wants to spend time with the people he loves, but it feels like Christmas it’s more of a job and obligation than joy and warmth.  But when he’s tasked with joining forces with Ezra, the sweet baker, to cater the Harmony House Christmas Party, that all changes. Ezra is all kinds of adorable and cheerful, doing what he loves and is incredible at. He’s still finding himself and a sense of self-worth (we see you crappy parents!) so he has trouble trusting. Himself and others. But as these two spend more time t...

REVIEW: Teddy's Temptation by Quinn Ward (Heart of Harmony Grove #2)

Image
TEDDY’S TEMPTATION Heart of Harmony Grove - Book Two by Quinn Ward Release Date: June 22, 2023 Review I love a small-town age-gap romance and this one gives me all the feels. Harmony Grove is a wonderful town that is largely inclusive and has a wonderful group of friends at the center. Teddy’s recently out of 30-year marriage. He’s getting used to being on his own, being able to do what he wants when he wants. He’s not looking to start another relationship. But some busybody friends are determined to see Teddy and Shiloh as happy as they are. So when Shiloh needs someone to renovate an expansion of his Bakery, it seems a perfect fit to have dependable and trustworthy Teddy help out. And if it becomes more than just business… I enjoyed both of these men. Teddy is kind, steady and down to earth. And he’s a great pairing for Shiloh who works so hard he frequently forgets to eat. He’s lovely but he needs someone to rely on and help him take time to enjoy life. And though they may hav...

REVIEW: Waylon's Awakening by Quinn Ward

Image
Review: This is definitely a sweet, loving, slightly kinky, very steamy book. It was a really great story where one man gets to reimagine his life and figure out how to make himself happy, not just everyone else. Though they have a lot of possible obstacles, ex-student/teacher, age difference, one is straight…but they fit together so effortlessly. They are sweet and kind to each other, giving each other the attention they hadn’t received in the past. Thanks also to a host of lovely town characters and friends, whom I’m sure we’ll get to know better, this was a lovely and sexy story. Stars: 4 🕮 Waylon’s Awakening by @quinnwardwrites 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3rDHPnv Synopsis: A divorced teacher. His former student. Are they about to be taught a lesson in love? I’ve always been the nurturing type. I mean, I’m a teacher, I’ve got three kids – the very model of responsible, mentoring manhood, right? Well, now my wife has divorced me and my mother needs surgery, so I guess I’m...
