REVIEW: Joyful by Kiki Clark (Leather & Chrome #2.5)

Image
JOYFUL Leather & Chrome - Book 2.5 by Abrianna Denae Release Date: January 29, 2026 Audio Release Date: May 27, 2026 Review This is a super sweet, kinky biker, holiday romance!  Being a big, bad tattooed biker doesn’t mean you aren’t also a sweet, kind, loving daddy. Rooster is all that and more.  But most importantly, he’s perfect for Emmett. Emmett is just discovering his little side and finding someone who's interested in giving him a safe space to let it out is a dream come true. The fact that it’s Rooster, an old friend of his brother, turns out to be the best thing. Narrated by an industry staple, John Solo. It’s a well-delivered audiobook. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Ride hard. Love harder. Celebrate joyfully. Rooster’s known he's a caretaker his whole life, but learning it went beyond that has been a revelation. He's afraid finding a boy who needs the same things he wants to give will be... difficult. Until sweet Emmett Moore falls back into...

AUDIO REVIEW: The Layover by Roe Horvat

Image
THE LAYOVER by Roe Horvat Release Date: January 22, 2020 Review This was my first by Roe Horvat - I know, I know, I’m late to the game! And now my TBR list is a lot longer! The Layover is a novella-length story and I love that it’s set in Switzerland and that one of the characters is Slovakian. I love authors that highlight other countries and cultures beyond the three major ones (US, UK, Australia). The world is a fascinating place and I want more of it in my romance stories. The setting is intriguing - two guys meeting in an airport and having a whirlwind romance that changes everything. It’s a kind of insta-love scenario, which is often associated with being light and fluffy, but this is anything but. It’s a heartfelt and deep.  The audiobook was done by John Solo, he was a great fit for the style and feel of this story.  I hope to get more of their collabs. AUDIO REVIEW: Inevitable by Briar Prescott

INEVITABLE by Briar Prescott Release Date: April 10, 2021 Audio Release Date: October 26, 2021 Narrator: John Solo Review It was inevitable that I would love this book. Briar is an incredible writer, and this story was beautiful.  Drew and Bas are best friends who have been circling the fact they love each other. A mix of believing they don’t deserve their love and worried their feelings won’t be reciprocated. Enter Ezra, a young man who’s struggling, but damn I love how relentless he is in not giving up. But it also leaves him with trust issues. And believing Drew and Bas could be real definitely requires trust. I loved the journey this union took. It felt organic and natural. I enjoy a story with push and pull, and that was especially true with three men trying to find their way together. Oh, the epilogue…pretty special! PS. if you love audiobooks, this one is narrated by none other than John Solo. His sexy voice and style lent well to this story. Add to your TBR List GOOD...

AUDIO REVIEW: A Million Little Moments by Riley Hart (Inevitable #2)

Image
A MILLION LITTLE MOMENTS Inevitable - Book Two by Riley Hart Release Date: December 6, 2022 Audio Release Date: January 11, 2023 Review “We kissed while I swallowed down his laughter and tasted his happy tears. This really was the greatest day I’d ever had.” Be still my heart, Jasper & Sutton. Smalltown's best friends who have been platonically dating for a long time. They live together and run a business together. But as they age the face more and more pressure to settle down and start families with the right woman. It causes them to have to face their feelings and their future. This is an emotional story, but also super sweet. I loved watching their journey, even if it was at times heartbreaking. Sometimes you need to fall apart a bit before you can grow and move forward. And the hurdles they need to face in order to make their love work aren’t small, though not insurmountable. But it makes the happy ending for this beautiful pair all the more accurate and satisfying. ...

REVIEW: Enemy Within by Tal Bauer (The Executive Office Series #3)

Image
ENEMY WITHIN The Executive Office - Book Three by Tal Bauer Release Date: March 28, 2017 Audio Release Date: November 11, 2020 Review The third book in the Executive Office trilogy. It’s as heart-pumping and nerve-racking as any political thriller movie I’ve ever seen. Madigan is set to destroy the world. Everyone believes President Jack Spires is dead. But really he, Ethan, Russian President Sergei, and a trusted team are on a mission to end Madigan and his army. This is action-packed. And though Jack and Ethan are at the centre of this whole story, there are also two other incredible love stories being told along the way. Enemy Within and the whole series have so many layers and subplots, that it’s impossible to not be engrossed in this story and wholly invested in its outcome. I loved this as an audiobook. John Solo does a fantastic job pf making you feel like you were watching it all happen. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The White House, infiltrated. The presid...
