  DEMON HUNTER The Collective - Book Two by Louisa Masters Release Date: August 29, 2024 Review Such a treat, this story.  Action, mystery and love. So good. Best friends Matty and Dylan are drawn into a dark web of mystery and evil when Matty is brutally attacked.  It becomes a frustrating race to figure out who was behind it and why. In the meantime, we also get to witness these two together. Physical hunter and cyber hunter with such a great bond. They make a fantastic couple, supportive and ready to fight for each other. While they are an already established couple, I loved seeing their relationship in action as they were put to the test of all that’s going on around them. We also get to see plenty of the others, especially Marc who is his usual rude and oddly compassionate self. Gah, love him! Also, I totally want my superpower to be teleportation!!   HIGHER DEMON The Collective - Book One by Louisa Masters Release Date: April 11, 2024 Audio Release Date: April 9, 2024 Review I love a charismatic a-hole, especially in Demon form.  Seriously, why are demons so hot?! Marc is snarky, rude, and miserable on earth. But he’s also loyal and has a strong sense of duty and ‘humanity’, which is why he was chosen as the Ambassador to Earth. Ian, a Hunter is being equally tortured as an instructor of children who are testing his patience. When he’s assigned as the demon liaison, you just know they will either out-snark each other or fall in love. Or maybe both! They are a lot of fun, but also passionate and intense, and they make a great team.  The whole situation surrounding them is also super interesting and highly engaging. I haven’t read the series previous to this, but I’m excited to go check that out, just as much as getting the next book in this series.   BATTING STYLE Franklin U 2 - Book Three by Louisa Masters Release Date: June 21, 2024 Review Well, I definitely need to read more from Louisa and the Joy Universe. I’m super intrigued to get more. Jordan is a force of nature. So eager and open. I love how he lives life without abandon. Yes, he lives a privileged life, but his Uncle does an amazing job at making sure he isn’t completely oblivious to it. But it does mean that he doesn’t see money as an obstacle that can’t be overcome.  Blaise on the other hand knows what it’s like to have to work for every dime. He’s a realist, but not bitter about it.  What he is, is proud. So as much as he loves Jordan’s eagerness and desire to make life easier, it is a point of tension at times. They are absolutely lovely together and their story really captures the age and the possibilities that come with it. The emphasis in this was on communication and supporting each other’s dreams. This was a really run story.  Liam was a really sweet guy, who wants to fall in love, but instead, he helps everyone else to find love. He’s patient, kind, and hardworking. When he agrees to help out Charlie, there’s only one rule…don’t fall for him. But things get messy the more time he spends with him, especially when they become friends who kiss, and more. Charlie is hopelessly oblivious, and you don’t know if you want to roll your eyes or tuck him under your arm.  Can he learn to stop being so datey with his friends, and what happens when he actually wants to date a friend?
