REVIEW: Call Back by Lily Morton (The Model Agency #3)

Image
CALL BACK The Model Agency - Book Three by Lily Morton Release Date: June 21, 2026 Review A beautiful story, full of ups and downs, struggles, and second chances.  Both men have had their struggles, and the age gap highlights not just what they are, but how they handle them. Xavier is young and brash, confronting issues with the bluntness of youth, while Reuben is steady but also wearier. His career as a photojournalist has taken its toll, and his commitment to his friends means he puts them before himself pretty much always (even toxic best friends). What results is a lengthy and turbulent span of time between their first whirlwind affair to their second chance. When Xavier is the one who needs to face his demons and make a choice about his future. They are beautiful together in this gentle, loving story. REVIEW: The Flower Arrangement by KC Carmine (Pursuit of Love #1)

THE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT Pursuit of Love - Book One by KC Carmine Release Date: October 7, 2024 Review A pretty quick read, full of longing, heat, and plenty of fun and swoony moments. It’s a great little story, and I’m always a sucker for a florist romance.  They always bring the swoon. I also enjoy that these are more mature characters. Romance built on life experience always hits different. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Flirting by means of flower bouquets doesn’t guarantee success, and Brendan learns that the hard way. Heartbroken after a bitter divorce, Brendan finds solace in running his beloved flower shop. His vow to think twice before jumping into a new relationship becomes hard to keep when he meets Hugh, a flamboyant hairstylist with skilful hands and a cheeky smile. Hugh has finally succeeded in opening his own salon, but the glow of his success is overshadowed by not having anyone to celebrate it with. When brawny, six-foot-three Brendan appears on ...

REVIEW: Black & White by Vinni George (ORCA #1)

BLACK & WHITE ORCA - Book One by Vinni George Release Date: June 6, 2024 Audiobook Release Date: May 27, 2025 Review Perfection! I am completely obsessed with this audiobook. The story, the narration, the shebang! The series follows Orca shifter brothers and the bounty hunter organization that they run. They are strong, fun, amazing personalities who are caring and thoughtful, but also live in a slightly ethical grey area.   Nero is fantastic.  Sexy, talented, and slightly adrift. Until he’s asked to protect Felix. Felix, who may need protecting, but he is not a damsel in distress. And I love how he isn’t afraid to insert himself into Nero’s life. He’s a talented hacker, knows his skills and his worth, and wants only the best for Nero. Narrator Declan Winters is a dream, and is absolutely perfect for this story. I am on a mission to listen to not just the rest of this series, but everything Declan has done. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Nero Hunt...

REVIEW: Double Dared by Hayden Hall (The Boys of Elmwood U #2)

Image
DOUBLE DARED The Boys of Elmwood U - Book Two by Hayden Hall Release Date: June 18, 2026 Review This is a lovely story, on the lighter side of Hayden, but no less beautiful and touching. Greg and Harrison have a fun, lightheartedness while still being very real. And what starts as a dare/fake dating ends with pure love and happiness.  This is one of those stories that brings a smile to your face and leaves you with a pleasant afterglow. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I'm not the kind of guy who turns down a dare. This is a lifestyle choice. I have committed to it fully, proudly, and without a single second thought. So when Greg pointed across the bar at a man reading poetry alone in a black turtleneck and said "get him to agree to a date," I was halfway out of the booth before the sentence finished. Enter Harrison: film student, built like an athlete, reads like a scholar, and has clearly never once left the house without putting on a fashion show for stra...

REVIEW: Knight by DJ Jamison (Redemption Ridge #1)

Image
KNIGHT Redemption Road - Book One by DJ Jamison Release Date: June 17, 2026 Review I am totally here for this grittier work by DJ Jamison. I love their cheekier small town worlds, but this, this hit the spot. Redemption Road is a support group and found family for men on parole, trying to start their life after. Their crimes, and reasons behind them vary, but each man is making a new start. Knight is a natural social worker/mother hen. Starting over isn’t easy. He has a plan, a plan to make sure his brothers sacrifice matters. But his time in this town, sharing space with Knight, seeing his brother happy, helps him see a future that isn’t just obligation, but one that has joy ...
