It had a perfect amount of push and pull, secrets and lies, desire and fear. Meeting for the peace treaty isn’t the first time they’ve met; they just didn’t realize how deep that connection took them.  As times go, they find themselves falling in love, but secrets remain, and others are plotting against them and their families. A phoenix can die, but is reborn, and I love the idea of a kind of fresh start. An opportunity to start fresh while also benefiting from a lifetime of experiences. Of course, that isn’t exactly what happens for Percival. The obnoxious Lord is reborn after being attacked, but he’s lost his memories. And like Leo, I think that may be a good thing. Because he gets a complete restart. One with Leo, who is sweet and kind and patient. But there’s still the question of who attached Percy in the first place. And boy does that case take a turn!
