FRUITBAT by Micah Carver Release Date: October 15, 2024 Review Fruitbat was a delightful novella taking over the course of an evening that feels like it’s so much more. It’s got some great character development and it had a number of ‘ah’ moments where things slotted into place and I smiled because I love a story that keeps me guessing. Micah artfully navigates us through this sweet pairing. It’s a bit paranormal, perfect for the Halloween season, and a whole lot of cute.  Highly recommend this little tale. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis A sweet and spirited adult contemporary romance . . . with a twist. Si . . . It’s Halloween and my birthday. No one ever remembers that though. The party my friends wanted to throw became my responsibility again, but I just don’t have the bandwidth for it tonight, so I’m sneaking out to get some air. The grumpy shop clerk is lucky I’m there to help when he takes that gnarly fall and smashes his head on the shelf. Danny . . . I ...

EMBERS GLOW AFTER THE FIRE Season’s Change - Book Two by Micah Carver Release Date: May 28, 2024 Review Brendon is the newest server at Truffle in Portland and he’s got secrets. Secrets to explain why he doesn’t talk about himself or why he changes his phone number often. He’s definitely not looking for a relationship. But then he meets Matthew at a cottage weekend with friends and colleagues. Here they reveal their tender hearts and pain and begin something that neither can deny. Their time is spent peeling back layers and truly seeing the other. Their friends provide a little drama and levity to keep things entertaining. Overall it’s a sweet story but it’s also got a bit of darkness and hurt/comfort to give it depth and draw you in. Micah has unique writing style that I’m very much enjoying. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis A steamy slow-burn MM Romance with found family and dark secrets coming to a boil at a remote cabin in the Maine wilderness. Brendon fled a priv...

A sexy encounter in a forest leads them on a bumpy collision course to love. Jamie is a quiet guy who plays life safe. He’s a cutey but wild is not in his settings. Until Nathan. Nathan, who for some reason makes Jamie want to step out of his comfort zone. Nathan lives his life unattached and constantly moving. It’s just him and his Bulldog Mabel (the most adorable relationship ever). Though he’s not had a problem moving on from his one-night stands, he can’t seem to forget the sweet Micah. It really is a wonderful story, and I’m looking forward to seeing what other stories he brings us.
