REVIEW: Dragon AU by AM Rose (Because Canon Sucks #1)

DRAGON AU Because Canon Sucks Series by AM Rose Release Date: June 10, 2026 Review My first book by AM Rose, and it was an entertaining story. It was a fascinating and quirky world-building. Milo is a fiercely loyal protector of the underdog.  Working multiple jobs to care for elderly people whom he considers family. Which is how he finds himself chained to a tree. Trying to protect their home from Rowan’s company.  One bit later, and Rowan is teaching Milo about being a dragon.  Which, yes, sounds as chaotic and fun as you think. And somewhere along the line, they go from enemies to lovers, and Milo teaches Rowan how to stand up for his passion, rather than obligation. Can’t wait to read more in this multi-author series. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis If you asked Rowan Rangecroft, what the biggest issue in his life was a month ago, he’d tell you his plant hoard was looking a bit droopy, and he wished he could gather the courage to tell his dragon da...

REVIEW: The Fight for Dragon Isle by David Gray

Image
THE FIGHT FOR DRAGON ISLE by David Gray Release Date: January 1, 2026 Review Really creative and interesting take on a dragon and magical romance. I really enjoyed both Blaze and Omar. These almost teenage lovers, driven apart years ago, are reunited on a critical mission to save an island of dragons against their mutual school foe. It’s creative, and I really enjoyed that aspect that Blaze, the human and his dragon were two different but connected people.  It’s not uncommon for their shifter side to be ‘other’ but here they are individuals, and it’s fun to listen to their inner monologues! The ‘case’ they were on was also really interesting. I would love to see more from them and the others in the world.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Escape into a world of unlikely heroes and evil villains, of brave dragons and fairytale kisses. Blaze is a dragon shifter, using his talents to find isolated dragons and introduce them to the world-spanning collective of s...

THE DRAGON’S DEVOTED DEFENDER Brinnswick: Tales from Gauhala - Book Four by Michele Notaro Release Date: March 17, 2026 Review I could really use magical powder to knock out people who make me mad, and a dungeon to lock them in! Roman and Oakley bring us a lovely story and ending to Tales from Gauhala. Oakley’s back home with his father, the King, after a traumatic childhood in the grips of his mother and a cult. But the troubles aren’t over. Thankfully, and a little awkwardly, his viramore is his bodyguard and his dad’s best friend. Together, they work to fight traffickers and keep Oakley safe. The road to being viramores isn’t entirely smooth either, but they’ve got a ton of family and friends on their side to ensure it all works out! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I need a plan to stop checking out my bodyguard—you know, my dad’s best friend. Step One: Stop staring at his tush. Uhhhh… don’t really want to . REVIEW: Courting the Dragon Warrior by Gigi Rivers (A Royal Arrangement #2)

Image
COURTING THE DRAGON WARRIOR A Royal Arrangement - Book Two by Gigi Rivers Release Date: March 6, 2026 Review Fantastic Story.  Loved their personalities, the path of their relationship, and their romance. It had a perfect amount of push and pull, secrets and lies, desire and fear. Meeting for the peace treaty isn’t the first time they’ve met; they just didn’t realize how deep that connection took them.  As times go, they find themselves falling in love, but secrets remain, and others are plotting against them and their families. It’s a powerful connection and love, and thoroughly enjoyable. Probably my favourite couple so far! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Two princes from enemy kingdoms. Forced to marry to end a war. Can they find love when so much stands against them? Dragon Warrior Prince Gerard bears the scars of a vicious attack from a Voltarian lightning sorcerer who stole half his vision and almost his life. Now Gerard must marry a Voltarian. He’ll...

COURTING THE DRAGON LORD A Royal Arrangement - Prequel by Gigi Rivers Release Date: February 28, 2025 Review Gigi writes lovely, cozy worlds, and this realm of Dragons and mages is lovely. In an attempt to end the war, a peace treaty will be achieved after a series of weddings that will bind the formerly warring parties together. Not all is cozy in their personal lives, and not everyone is happy about peace. As these two stumble toward love, they are sweet and awkward and must learn to communicate, because their insecurities will break them otherwise. I enjoyed the beginning of this series, and am intrigued to see how the other pairings pan out. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis To end the war, he must marry the enemy. Prince Ash Rosewood is terrified of the dragons. To him, they mean nothing but dragonfire, forests of ashen remains, and blackened corpses.
