AUDIO REVIEW: Sweet Like Whiskey by Emmy Sanders (The Darling Brothers #1)

SWEET LIKE WHISKEY The Darling Brothers - Book One by Emmy Sanders Release Date: October 24, 2024 Audible Release Date: May 2, 2025 Review The story alone is wonderful, but the story with Kale Williams' narration is absolute perfection. Seriously, I could listen to this one over and over. I love me a grumpy cowboy. Seriously, they are my kryptonite. If you ever hear me announce I’m moving to the country, it’ll be for that reason!! Jackson is the quiet caretaker of the family. The one who would do anything for them. He’s thoughtful and patient. And definitely not prepared for Ash. The wayward man who’s found his fresh start on the ranch. Ash is bright and lovely. When he takes the job, he doesn’t expect to love it, but it, the ranch, and countryside are perfect for him. I love them together, the way they come together and build something solid.  But I also really just love this family of brothers. So different, but also cut from the same cloth, and tight the way ranch boys ar...

REVIEW: Brim Over Boot by Emmy Sanders (The Darling Brothers #2)

BRIM OVER BOOT The Darling Brothers - Book Two by Emmy Sanders Release Date: May 22, 2025 Review First off - gah! That cover! Second - Emmy is a masterful storyteller.  Her characters are always so complex and fascinating, and their journeys are emotional and gorgeous. Colton and Noah have so many sparks flying that they could burn a barn down. And the tension between them makes for a perfect slow burn. Two competing farriers who can’t stand each other and seem to stubbornly refuse to believe anything but the worst. But we all know how the line between love and hate goes…kaboom! But it’s not only fiery tension but also sweet, emotional, and healing. The relationship that they ultimately build is stunning.  These two may even come close to the love I have for Wyatt and Easton in Fool Hearts, and I truly adore them! REVIEW: 10 Ways to Accidentally Fall in Love by Emmy Sanders

10 WAYS TO ACCIDENTALLY FALL IN LOVE by Emmy Sanders Release Date: February 10, 2025 Review This was such an endearing, romantic, and fun story. I smiled the entire time. I’ll admit, normally a character like Brad, over the top and ridiculous, would annoy me, but through Emmy’s deft hand, I adored him. He was ridiculous, but also, so utterly charming and somehow completely innocent. Also, I really want a Brad hug! For some, he is A LOT, but Joey likes everything about him. And the fact that he was willing to endure a broken heart just keep him in his life - swoon! “Fuck. This man. I barely know him, and I’m already wondering what kind of fence he’d like around his backyard. White picket?” Through some hilarious misunderstandings, antics, and unacknowledged feelings Brad finds his way to falling for his Joey - and I fell in love with both of them just as much as they did each other. REVIEW: Sweet Like Whiskey by Emmy Sanders (The Darling Brothers #1)

SWEET LIKE WHISKEY The Darling Brothers - Book One by Emmy Sanders Release Date: October 24, 2024 Review First, we should talk about how incredible this cover is. Like I just can’t stop staring at it. I adore Emmy and her cowboys, and once you get over the fact that every book can’t be about Wyatt (Fool Hearts), you learn to love the others! And the Darling brothers are going to be amazing. Jackson is my kryptonite, grumpy, stubborn cowboy. And Ash coming along and healing our boy's heart was something special. Ash, in his own right, is also pretty wonderful, patient and loving. You can’t help but love him too. The story is beautiful and compelling, and you want to live in it forever.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The only thing worse than letting him in is the thought of letting him go. Jackson If there’s one thing I don’t need upsetting my quiet and comfortable routine in the small town of Darling, Montana, it’s newcomer Ash Alcott crash landing on my famil...

REVIEW: Felix by Emmy Sanders (Elite 8 Studios #6)

FELIX Elite 8 Studios - Book Six by Emmy Sanders Release Date: July 18, 2024 Review Be still my beating heart, how I want to love and protect Emil for all of time to come. I am a sucker for someone who doesn’t feel seen by the people around them (projecting? probably!). Nothing makes me melt more. A Christian is perfect for him because he sees him completely. But it’s entirely natural. He doesn’t have to try on Emil’s behalf. He loves everything about the man. I’m also a fan of Emil talking nerdy! Christian himself is also wonderful. He’s an absolute sweetheart, always so thoughtful and caring. He just brings such joy and beauty to the world. It’s a fun and sexy story. Brought together by voyeurism/exhibitionism and chance but connected by so much more. I really enjoyed Emmy’s exploration of Emil’s need for exhibitionism.  It had depth and understanding and brought a lot to the story. I hope these crab daddies have a beautiful life together.
