REVIEW: The Attercop by Peter E Fenton (The Declan Hunt Mysteries #4)

Image
THE ATTERCOP The Declan Hunt Mysteries - Book Four by Peter E. Fenton Release Date: August 4, 2026 Review Awww, Charlie and Declan have come such a long way together. Like proper adult coupling! Running a successful business, and still getting into trouble. Someone is playing games with them, and it’s anybody's guess if they’ll figure it out. But in the process, they also seem to fully settle into their relationship and find peace in their relationships with family and friends. And the case had an interesting twist at the end. It’s entirely satisfying, as by book four we are ‘slightly’ invested in Declan and Charlie’s relationship. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis FROM BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF LGBTQIA DETECTIVE ROMANCE PETER E. FENTON Book four in the Declan Hunt Mysteries series How far would you be willing to go to keep the one you love? Charlie Watts has found the perfect partner in Declan Hunt, and he hopes that they can spend the rest of their lives together. But wh...

AUDIO REVIEW: Ulysses's Ultimatum by Gabbi Grey (Love in Mission City #7)

Image
ULYSSES’S ULTIMATUM Love in Mission City - Book Seven by Gabbi Grey Release Date: May 4, 2026 Audio Release Date: May 11, 2026 Review Something’s rotten in Mission City, and journalist Ulysses is planning on figuring it out. The new arrival to the town didn’t move here just for the small town life, and he wasn’t expecting the complication of sleeping with the very tempting Finnegan, the firefighter whose station is under his investigation. These two can't stay away from each other, but they also don’t trust that they can be entirely open to each other. Which of course, causes wrinkles when they both have questions and both have secrets. Finnegan is a little too good at avoiding questions for someone who doesn’t think things are wrong, but otherwise, they are super interesting story. Michael Dean does a nice job with the narration. He has a wonderful voice that is wonderful to listen to. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Finn Ulysses MacDonald left my bed after earth-sh...

HOLLOW HEART Northern Roots: Atlantic - Book Four by Eve Holmes Release Date: May 1, 2026 Review This wrecked me! I’m talking, I bawled through the first 50% and continued to tear up off and on throughout the 2nd half. My kryptonite is people who don’t feel worthy, seen, loved, or appreciated. Who don’t believe they will ever find love. And this epic best-friends-to-lovers hit everyone one of those soft spots through Silas. REVIEW: Tide Over by Eve Holmes (Northern Roots: Atlantic #1)

TIDE OVER Northern Roots: Atlantic - Book One by Eve Holmes Release Date: November 12, 2024 Review My first Eve Holmes book, and wow, absolutely beautiful, and I already know I’m going to be a die-hard fan. This is an ode to Eastern Canada as much as it’s a love story. Liam is a man being chased by his ghosts. The grief of loss and guilt has him driving aimlessly, feeling restless and unsure. Until he lands in Torrin Cove. Tiny, remote, and peaceful. Then he meets Theo. Theo loves his life, loves Lobster fishing, but he also carries his own grief. Together, they find something of their own. They build something quiet and beautiful. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The storm will always pass… Desperate to escape his pain, Liam Fraser returns to his home province of Nova Scotia—but not to the place he once called home. Instead, he finds himself in Torrin Cove, a tiny, remote fishing village that seems like the perfect place to hide from the painful memories he can’t out...

AUDIO REVIEW: Hard Sell by Hudson Lin (Jade Harbour Capital #1)

Image
HARD SELL Jade Harbour Capital - Book One by Linden Bell Release Date: May 25, 2021 Review Deeply engaging story. Set in the corporate world, between best friend and younger brother. Danny is set on acquiring a company that Tobin is assigned to. It puts them at odds, though it doesn’t stop them from hooking up and going from crush to something so much more. I loved the Canadian and Asian rep, and I enjoyed the corporate setting without it being boss/employee.  I also appreciated the speed and way in which their relationship developed. I’m definitely going to be reading book 2! It was also my first audiobook by narrator Tyler Tetsuda, whom I enjoyed and who delivered a solid performance. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis "One of the brightest new voices in the genre." — Annabeth Albert , author of Conventionally Yours One night wasn’t enough. Danny Ip walks into every boardroom with a plan. His plan for struggling tech company WesTec is to acquire it, shut it down...

REVIEW: Riding Pine by RM Neill

Image
RIDING PINE by RM Neill Release Date: November 13, 2025 Review A sexy encounter leads to sleeping with a beaver!  Lukas is lovely and completely enamoured with the man he met at a club. And extremely appreciative of Ben’s bendiness.  Now the hockey player and the mascot are sneaking around while growing more and more obsessed with each other. For the record, Ben is terrible at secrets. It’s lower angst, with a hint of the possibility of some, with some fun banter and some very creative ‘play’ time. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis A hockey player and a beaver walk into a bar… I’m not a real beaver. I just play one for the Bloomburg Aspens. You’d be surprised how many times I need to clarify that. It’s not a traditional job, but between my yoga studio and playing the beaver, it pays the bills. The beaver mascot gig also comes with one rule: Don’t reveal my identity to anyone . Which wasn’t a big deal until I met this guy at the bar. A hot guy with a shy smile...
