REVIEW: The Proposal by Piper Scott (Single Dad Support Group #2)

Image
THE PROPOSAL Single Dad Support Group - Book Two by Piper Scott Release Date: May 21, 2018 Review I was really invested in finding out how Aaron and Gage would find their happy ever after with all that has transpired, much of which was in secrets and lies. And though it wasn’t smooth sailing, it’s definitely satisfying that they found their way through it all. I feel for all that Gage has gone through to raise their son and allow Aaron to pursue his dreams that will also benefit the family in the end. But I also can’t help but be frustrated with him for depriving Aaron of the first years of his son's life. To be honest, this probably gets a half point for not being focused on heats and pregnancy. And now, I’m really invested in getting the full story of a certain group chat member. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Raising a secret baby alone isn’t easy, but Gage Langston knows if he were to tell his one true love and best friend Aaron that they have a son together, it...

THE PROBLEM Single Dad Support Group - Book One by Piper Scott Release Date: April 9, 2018 Review A wonderful story that includes MPREG, a really supportive father, and a man who’s finding his path in life. And in the end, a beautiful family with so much love and care. Laurence and Alex have amazing chemistry, and Laurence showed up again and again in the most kind and compassionate way.  No matter what else was going on in his life, he showed up for Alex, proving his love is more than their circumstances. There’s a bit of tension, a lot of hotness, and some humour to balance it all out. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Mature single dad Laurence Gwynn isn’t looking for love. He’s happily divorced, the proud father of a teenage boy, and being considered for a promotion at the prestigious company he works for. REVIEW: Hollywood by DJ Jamison (Redemption Road #2)

Image
THE CEO AND THE MOUNTAIN MAN Redemption Road - Book Two by DJ Jamison Release Date: August 5, 2026 Review I love a redemption story! And I don’t just mean in terms of them having a record. But also Hollywood getting a chance to be a father, and Tex owning his life for himself, and both these men getting a do-over after a first kiss gone wrong. Hollywood is in over his head when he suddenly becomes a full-time dad, but Tex and the rest of Redemption Road step up like the found family they are. Tex’s story stressed me out! I was so nervous his father was going to really mess up his life - thankfully, DJ didn’t completely destroy me in that vain. It’s truly a meaningful, thoughtful, and touching story. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis They call me Hollywood because I look like a leading man, but I didn't expect the starring role of single father.... When my ex-girlfriend, Carrie, is injured in an accident, I take sole custody of my two-year-old daughter overnight. I'...

REVIEW: The CEO and the Mountain Man by Kelly Fox (Snow Creek Ranch Series)

Image
THE CEO AND THE MOUNTAIN MAN Snow Creek Ranch Series by Kelly Fox Release Date: August 5, 2026 Review Still obsessed with this multi-author series. Each story has been fantastic. And Kelly’s addition is an emotional, beautiful addition. A father stumbling through the process of picking up the pieces for himself and his son after his ex-wife died and his son injured in a car crash. Desperately seeking a fresh start, he signs them up for two weeks at Snow Creek Ranch. And there they find their new selves, some healing, and love. So much love! It was fun to watch Clark to try and cowboy, and Beau is such an amazing human. Warm, thoughtful, definitely a nurturer. He had the perfect demeanour for both Clark and his son to find their footing. Seriously - fabulous story. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Desperation will make a man do crazy things. Like drag my grieving son from Chicago to a queer-friendly ranch in Colorado. I just wanted River to find himself again. I didn't...

REVIEW: Home Ice by Saxon James

Image
HOME ICE by Saxon James Release Date: June 25, 2026 Review Such a great story! Best friends, second-chance, turned lovers, with a side of surprise, you have a kid! I love a best friend's second chance story, the hurt, forgiveness, learning to love again. And this has it in spades. All because Jensen has come home after discovering he has a teenage son.  The awkwardness, the rollercoaster of emotions, and watching his son come around to accepting Jensen.  Loved it. And Tai, learning to ask for more, seek out happiness…so satisfying. The way these two build a relationship and life is exactly what I’m looking for in a romance. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis TAI Ten years ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life. When Hawke left for the NHL and my hockey dreams went up in smoke, I ghosted my best and longest friend. It made sense at the time, but there hasn’t been a day where I haven’t missed him. So when we run into each other again, and his only response i...

REVIEW: Welcoming the Recluse by Nora Phoenix (Forestville Silver Foxes #7)

Image
WELCOMING THE RECLUSE Forestville Silver Foxes - Book Seven by Nora Pheonix Release Date: May 28, 2026 Review Oh my gosh, I’m so in love with Mac’s story and what brought him to the mountain. A quiet man, who keeps to himself and only comes to town for necessities. Afraid of his PTSD he’s removed himself from those he loves. Arek is a wonderful partner. The way he builds a friendship with Mac, and the patience he shows in giving Mac the space to rejoin the world, and accept love.  It’s so beautiful.   And Arek’s children are absolutely wonderful.  They have such amazing personalities, and I adore the way they took to Mac, and helped bring life and love back to his life too. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I’m a man on a mission to stay as far away from everyone else as possible. I have too much damage as a veteran, and this is the only way to keep those I love safe—especially Boden, my teenage son, whom I haven’t seen in years. I find a quiet spot...
