REVIEW: Unexpected by Garry Michael and Michael Robert

UNEXPECTED by Garry Michael & Michael Robert Release Date: July 26, 2024 Review Two novellas by incredibly talented husband who consistently brings us unique romances. They are well known for their character development. And these two stories aren’t any different. Bare Naked by Garry Michael Naked Survivor - where contestants are paired together and dropped into the Canadian wilderness with basically nothing but their wits and a camera. And the winner is the last pair standing.  This pair - Erik and Drew - a woefully unprepared student and the previous season's winner. I love a romance bubble. Just the two of them trying to survive together, and needing stay warm *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* It’s a well-developed romance with a break that leads to a swoony Hollywood style happy ending. Hate at First Sight by Michael Robert This is the second story I’ve read recently with a fire watch tower, and I’m hereby asking for more. Remote wilderness and a one-room tower are the perf...

REVIEW: The Cult by Garry Michael (Men in the Shadows #2)

THE CULT Men in the Shadows - Book Two by Garry Michael Release Date: June 27, 2024 Review Oh man, I’m obsessed with this series. It totally puts me on edge as there are enemies all over the place, especially given that Tobias inserts himself into a cult in order to save his best friend's family.  I know he can handle himself, but damn the cult is not a peaceful loving one. When he gets there and finds the son, Abel, now 19, and definitely no longer a kid! That man knows exactly what he wants. And he wants Tobias.  He also wants to help protect the other members. As they work together to sort out what the cult is up to and how to get out, they also develop an intense and deliciously dirty relationship. It’s hair-raising at times, but you’ll also cheer them on and find peace in the connection they create. The action isn’t over yet, but their found family and allies are growing! REVIEW: The Reaper by Garry Michael (Men in the Shadows #1)

THE REAPER Men in the Shadows - Book One by Garry Michael Release Date: February 22, 2023 Review Gah, phenomenal! Dark and dangerous, and feels a little taboo. Love every second of this story full of twists and turns. Where men have to take sides and conspiracies and enemies lurk at every turn. The magentic pull between Archer and Heath was so strong and enticing. I couldn’t get enough of them. It’s hard to say anything without giving away the plot. But if you love dark stories, assassins, conspiracies, unknown friends and enemies, and plenty of action (both sexy and not), then you will love this.  Garry Michael is a fantastic author and the second book in this series, The Cult, is set to drop soon so you won’t have to wait long to get more of the action.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis “I chose to live my life in the shadows, and one day it could get me killed.” Obliterate. Extinguish. Repeat. Serving justice was my specialty. I was a ruthless monster, a ...

ANTHOLOGY REVIEW: Cruising: An MM Anthology

Review: This is such a great series. Probably one of the best that I’ve read. It has a really great variety of authors, styles and tropes. Insta-love, kink, musicians, daddies, light, dark, it’s really got it all. It was a mix of authors I’m familiar with and some I wasn’t, so I’m looking forward to adding a few new books to my TBR. This was such a perfect summer read. I suggest you grab your kindle, a sun hat, and your favourite chair and head outside, and dig into this one. 4.5 sunny stars What Happens in Niagara Falls by LD Blakeley A playful and seductive story of two co-workers who seem like they would be complete opposites, and yet, thanks to a room assignment mishap, they may find that they end up more than just colleagues. Two really likable guys, one a little grumpy, the other a little sunshiny, but both are really sweet. And it was cute and fun as they explored the sites and the cruise ship, flirting and getting to know one another. Definitely a great 1st story in this anth...

REVIEW: Break Point by Garry Michael

Review: I probably say this a lot, but I absolutely love a BFF to lovers story. Especially one that had them apart for years. And this story absolutely does not disappoint. You could feel the longing and heartbreak between these two. And Travis’ struggles with hiding in the closet. Ugh, it breaks my heart. "The thing about voluntary isolation is, you have to love yourself. Truthfully, I don't even like myself. All the lying and hiding is taking its toll on me and makes me question if I'm making the right decision. Sometimes, it feels like the greater my achievements are, the lonelier I become." I loved everything about this. The flashbacks, their current stories, their reunion…especially the cabin scene. You could feel it all. This was my first Garry Michael book, and it absolutely won’t be my last. I really love his writing style.
