ONE TIME ONLY by L. Blakely Release Date: November 18, 2020 Audio Release Date: November 16, 2020 Narrators: Jacob Morgan & Teddy Hamilton Review L. Blakely not only writes such full and vibrant stories, but they also choose fantastic narrators. I also love listening to her audiobooks. Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan deliver a wonderful performance as Jackson and Stone. Love a bodyguard romance.  I mean, you’re sexy, fit and are going to protect me!?! Yes please. These two hit it off from the word go. Joking and chatting with ease. They developed a great friendship, which is one of my favourite aspects of a romance.  And makes their inevitable turn to lust and romance believable. It’s a fun story, though, not without touching moments, and the meaningful impact of the past. Rockstar & Bodyguard have met their match in each other. AUDIO REVIEW: Seven Shades of You by AM Johnson (Twin Hearts #2)

Image
SEVEN SHADES OF YOU Twin Hearts Duet - Book Two by AM Johnson Release Date: June 13, 2019 Audio Release Date: December 3, 2019 Review A beautifully written second story to this brother/sister duet. A slow burn and passionate story about first love and finding someone who loves you for exactly who you are. Art is an integral part of Indie, it’s how she shares herself and filters the world. Through art she finds Kai. They of course know each other, given Kai is best friends with Indie’s brother, but it’s not until art brings them together that they truly see each other. As Kai brings Indie out of her protective bubble, Indie gives Kai the space and safety to decide his own future. They are lovely, and will make you wish everyone could find someone so perfect. Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Summers do a great job with this. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Her world was color. Canvas and paint. Indie O’Connell lived inside her head. Her voices the muse. And as a f...

AUDIO REVIEW: The Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen (The Ivy Years #3)

Image
THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR The Ivy Years - Book Three by Sarina Bowen Release Date: September 29, 2014 Audio Release Date: June 20, 2016 Review For some people, coming out is the hardest thing ever. Even when it’s to be with your best friend. Especially when a traumatic event help solidifies why you were in the closet. This is a second chance story for Graham and Rikker. When they find themselves on the same college hockey team, tension is high. Because they loved each other in high school until a tragic event tore them apart. Leaving some deep emotional scars. It’s hard to watch Graham fight being gay. Torn between loving Rikker and being terrified of the world finding out. The push and pull between the two. It hurts. Meanwhile, Rikker has been forced into the spotlight for being Gay, becoming the poster boy for being an out player. It’s an excellent book. With all the angst you expect from young love and fears of coming out. It was satisfying for them to find a way to be happy an...

AUDIO REVIEW: Hopelessly Bromantic by Lauren Blakely (Hoplessly Bromanctic Duet #1)

Image
HOPELESSLY BROMANTIC Hopelessly Bromantic Duet - Book One by Lauren Blakely Release Date: May 31, 2022 Audiobook Release Date: May 31, 2022 Review Gah, cliffhangers!! The worst torture to ever torture a reader!! TJ and Jude are the swooniest, funniest, most lovely guys ever. The brief meeting in London some years ago was packed with pinning and flirting, but before they get to figure themselves out, they are pulled apart by their careers.  Their memories remain fond, and their pact to meet again when they’ve each made it remains present in their minds. So when they get the chance they jump at it. There are nerves, but the deep attraction and simple ease at which they connect is as strong as ever. Leaving them wondering if this is it. If they’ve found the ‘one’. Until miscommunication and hurt feelings tear them apart. No joke, TJ and Jude and both amazing, and you’ll want to ring both their necks for their destruction. I loved the reverse enemies-to-lovers trope.  Looki...
