REVIEW: Fake It for Christmas by Raleigh Ruebins

Image
FAKE IT FOR CHRISTMAS Fixer Brothers Construction Co - Book Nine by Raleigh Ruebins Release Date: December 3, 2024 Review A cute and fun holiday romance about Shane who desperately wants to win a competition to be on Fixer Brothers.  Enter Rowen who offers to fake a relationship. Rowen is laying low and licking his wounds after things go awry in New York. I enjoyed their getting to know each other and falling in love while faking a relationship. It’s a classic trope for a reason, and the Fixer adjacent aspect is cute.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I’m a jock-next-door from Tennessee, and he’s a city boy running from his past. But I need a fake boyfriend this Christmas… and now he’s in my bed. I’m only good at two things: sports and holiday spirit. But this Christmas feels different, even though I should have everything I want. My family’s bugging me again about why I’m still single, and I’m getting desperate. Rowen’s nothing like me. He’s smart, accompli...

REVIEW: Wedding Bet by Raleigh Reubins (Fixer Brothers Construction Co #8)

WEDDING BET Fixer Brothers Construction Co - Book Eight by Raleigh Ruebins Release Date: November 14, 2024 Review I always enjoy a good forced proximity, two guys from very different realities, and holiday romance, and it was also lovely to see some of our other fav characters. Landry is rich and successful, but he’s also been burned by love and terrible exes. He’s not looking for love. But he finds it regardless with Jamie. He is lovely and sweet but struggling financially partly due to his mother's medical bills. It leaves him insecure and a bit unworthy. As they learn about each other they both have a lot of layers and baggage to overcome. But it’s a sweet relationship in the end. The ‘wedding bet’ aspect fell a little flat for me, it kind of felt like it was abandoned along the way, but they are a wonderful couple regardless. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I made a bet: that I’d be his perfect fake boyfriend for this wedding. Now I desperately don’t want to los...

REVIEW: Home Game by Raleigh Ruebins (Fixer Brothers Construction Co. #7)

HOME GAME Fixer Brothers Construction Co - Book Seven by Raleigh Ruebins Release Date: September 19, 2024 Review Sometimes in life, you don’t get what you want, you get what you need. And in Home Game Storm and Emmett get exactly what they need - Each other. They are very different from each other, but that means they get to see the world and life from a different perspective. Something they both need. Granted, they also drive each other insane and make a lot of assumptions about who the other person is. I enjoy a story where I like both the characters, but also want to tell them they are both fools. Where their strengths are also their faults.  I loved Storm's ability to live life on his own terms I was also frustrated that it made him self-absorbed at times. And though Emmett’s heart was in the right place for his life’s purpose, it made him a little too single-minded. Together, they help the other shine. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis He’s pro football’s hot...

REVIEW: For the Cameras by Raleigh Ruebins (Fixer Brother Construction Co #6)

Image
FOR THE CAMERAS Fixer Brothers Construction Co - Book Six by Raleigh Ruebins Release Date: June 20, 2024 Review This is a sexy one with a cameraman discovering his client is his favourite adult entertainer. Adam is a wonderfully introverted guy, whose awkwardness is endearing.  By day he works an office-type job, by night he entertains with some anonymous sexy videos. Even more endearing is the way Chase puts him at ease and builds his confidence in front of the TV camera and in day-to-day life. While things heat up in the bedroom, they’re building a strong and steady relationship where they become each other’s comfort. I love that Chase also finds his centre in Adam. Adam makes him feel like he’s enough exactly as he is. Swoon. This is a solid and enjoyable series, I love the town and the setting of this construction company taking reality TV by storm. It’s a total comfort read, giving you warm, steady, found family, small-town feels, and some deliciously sexy men. Add to y...

REVIEW: Bear's Best Friend by Raleigh Ruebins (Fixer Brothers Construction Co. #5)

BEAR’S BEST FRIEND Fixer Brothers Construction Co - Book Five by Raleigh Ruebins Release Date: April 11, 2024 Review Super adorable BFF’s steal each other’s hearts and yours! Although it’s more likely they had each others’ hearts the whole time. Did I mention they are adorable? They are thick as thieves and if you just met them you would assume they were already dating. It’s those two against the world.  Harlan is the only one who really knows Sawyer and his struggles, particularly with his family. I love how fiercely he stands up for Sawyer even when it’s to Sawyer himself. Everyone needs a Harlan in their corner. And speaking of Harlan, this marshmallow of a man is such a fantastic human. He’s been protecting his heart for a long time now, and really it could only ever be Sawyer to make him take a chance again. This was a really cute addition to the Fixer Brother’s Construction Co. series. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis He’s a ray of sunshine. I’m a loner lum...
