I’m still lobbying for Emrys and Jonatan to get their own series, but I did enjoy learning more about these two and their tumultuous history.   A FATAL AUTUMNAL STEW The Skeleton Crew Paranormal Cozy Series - Book Two by Dahlia Donovan Release Date: November 27, 2024 Review I’m completely in love with Dahalia’s cozy style of romance, and this paranormal mystery series is super adorable. Set in a small town that acts as a kind of haven for rejected or ostracized people/supernatural.  Hyde and Teresa are pretty cute, especially now that they're dating, but they can’t seem to keep out of a mystery. Whether they like it or not, they keep getting pulled in.   It’s a great cast of characters, a variety of vampires, witches, druids and more, with small-town personalities. Where everyone knows everything that’s happened moments later, but will also have your back.  Especially Hyde, the townfolk love them. Can’t wait to see what else this cute couple gets embroiled in. It’s the kind of stories that beg cozy pyjamas, reading socxs, and a cuppa tea. And this FF(mx) paranormal mystery romance was downright lovely. Set in a small town that is a haven to all manner of mysterious and paranormal beings, many of whom are in need of a found family. The support and love for one another is heartwarming. As is the romance blooming between our bookstore-owning vampire and their Taco truck-owning witch. It’s such a lovely and tender friendship and together they help to figure out what is happening in the village.  Along the way, we get to meet their friends and neighbours.   HONEY BEE MURDER Honey Bear Cosy Mysteries - Book Two by Dahlia Donovan Release Date: November 23, 2023 Review I am completely smitten with this series of cosy romantic british-style mysteries featuring George and Murphy—our resident Bee Keeper and Mead Maker. They are adorable, and hilarious in the situations they end up in. It’s a good thing the local police officers are friends and family, otherwise, they’d both be in jail or dead themselves! But they and their friends are turning into pretty good detectives! After some bizarre encounters with the new neighbour who’s convinced George is somehow training his bees to attack, he winds up dead and the police have some questions for George. It of course would help if George stopped letting the other suspects into his home for tea! It’s all a bit overwhelming. But he’s got Murphy by his side and that makes everything better. Think Miss Marple or Father Brown if they were a gay couple with pugs. I love the writing style just as much ...
