REVIEW: My Grumpy Sweetheart by Ray Celar

MY GRUMPY SWEETHEART Sweetheart Escapes Series by Ray Celar Release Date: September 15, 2023 Review My Grumpy Sweetheart is a really fun story between a very grumpy not-a-serial-killer, and a very, very perky romantic. Nothing says bad date like one that has one of the participants there by trickery and manipulation. Especially one who’s already grumpy to start with! (for the record, like Bailey, I love a grumpy man). Trapped in an incessantly happy and apple-obsessed B’n’B both Bailey and the apples break through Dakota’s highly reinforced defenses. Until what’s left is a less grumpy teddy bear of a man. It is sweet and flirty and super cute. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a lighter read with lots of grumpy goodness. I really felt for Luke, who was hounded by paparazzi culture while trying to cope with the loss of his career and a life-altering injury.  I’d be looking to move continents too, and probably a little more than fearful of trusting people. He’s a really great guy, even if he has too much money to fuel his sometimes wild whims.  I loved the pairing with Zayne, the beautiful local soap maker. These two are inexplicably drawn together, and they are sweet and lovely, bringing out the best in each other.  Zayne is a kind soul with a lot of love. You can see from a mile away how half-truths are going to crash and burn, but it doesn’t mean the story isn’t truly...
