CRIMINAL INTENTIONS Criminal Intentions - Season One, Episode Four by Cole McCade Release Date: October 10, 2018 Audio Release Date: January 31, 2023 Narrator: Curt Bonnem Review Damn boys, get it together!  This story is full of tension more than the rest because there is more inner turmoil to go with it. Seong-Jae is having to go things alone while Malcolm recovers from his injuries under the care of his ex-wife (gah!).  And neither of them benefit from the distance. But there is always a case to provide them a bit of a distraction, otherwise, they would drive themselves insane with too much time to think. Here’s hoping they start to get their heads out of their butts soon! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis ABOUT THIS EPISODE With Malcolm on forced bed rest and off duty, Detective Seong-Jae Yoon faces his first solo case since joining the BPD--and it's one that will challenge his morals, his sense of duty, and his insistence on adhering to the letter of the...

AUDIO REVIEW: Over and Over Again by Cole McCade

OVER AND OVER AGAIN by Cole McCade Release Date: July 23, 2018 Audio Release Date: March 22, 2022 Review This audiobook was recommended to me over and over again (see what I did there?!?!?). And it didn’t disappoint. It was a gorgeous opus that gives us an age-gap romance that kind of makes you feel like you’re in a dream state. Imre and Luca are so full of emotion and compassion. Even Luca’s, at times, frustrating immaturity was beautifully done and rather endearing. A bit impetuous, but thoughtful and caring too. Imre is solid comfort. A salt-of-the-earth type that makes you feel safe immediately. It’s easy to see why Luca the boy and Luca the man had a crush on him. I was thrilled for this man to find someone to fill his solitary life. The life they built is special. And the narration is superb.  I recently discovered Philip Alces and I find him utterly captivating. AUDIO REVIEW: Junk Shop Blues by Cole McCade (Criminal Intentions Season One Episode Two)

CRIMINAL INTENTIONS: JUNK SHOP BLUES Criminal Intentions - Season One, Episode Two by Cole McCade Release Date: August 8, 2018 Review Their second case and Malcolm and Seong-Jae aren’t any closer to being besties. The previous case still haunts them, and they are still working on trusting each other. They both play things too close to their chest, mixed with their very different personalities and what you get is delicious tension!  We are in for a slow burn and I can’t wait for the beautiful explosion that is to come. I love everything about this series so far.  The new mysteries, and the interesting side characters all make for a great serial. I am here for the long haul. Especially given that they are available in audiobook. Curt Bonnem does a great job narrating. The characters, and the vibe, are all done really well. AUDIO REVIEW: The Cardigans by Cole McCade (Criminal Intentions Season One, Episode Two)

CRIMINAL INTENTIONS: THE CARDIGANS Criminal Intentions - Season One, Episode One by Cole McCade Release Date: July 8, 2018 Review A gay detective serial. Yes, please!! And with 29 books so far, I’m in for a really good binge. Two very different detectives are paired up, and neither are thrilled about it. But they have more important things to worry about. Namely, someone killing young gay men.  The case is super interesting, as is watching these two (try) to get to know one another, but really, they barely scratch the surface. I can't wait to get to know more of their backstory. Not to mention see where things go with them. I’m also here for all the crime drama. I’m a sucker for detective shows. Which is why I’m glad it’s on audiobook. Narrated by Curt Bonnem who fit the style and mood of the story well.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis ABOUT THIS EPISODE When a string of young queer men turn up dead in grisly murders, all signs point to the ex-boyfriend—but what ...
