AUDIO REVIEW: Dripped by Charlie Novak (Lick It! #2)

Image
DRIPPED Lick It! - Book Two by Charlie Novak Release Date: July 9, 2026 Review How could you not fall in love with a guy whose job is creating ice cream flavours!?! Darcy is the force behind Heather Bay’s newest business. But the stress of running the shop, starting a new business, creating the ice cream…he’s one dropped ice cream cone away from melting down.   Which summer hire, Owen sees.  He’s attracted to Darcy, but when he sees how stressed he is, he suggests some fun outside the kitchen. Darcy is a nomad, never committing. To people or places. So he’s definitely leaving at the end of the summer. Except, when you find that perfect flavour, you can’t walk away. Note about the audiobook…it’s narrated by Dan Calley, whom is a dream to listen to.  So yes, I highly recommend this as an audiobook, and in truth any book narrated by Dan! REVIEW: Call Back by Lily Morton (The Model Agency #3)

Image
CALL BACK The Model Agency - Book Three by Lily Morton Release Date: June 21, 2026 Review A beautiful story, full of ups and downs, struggles, and second chances.  Both men have had their struggles, and the age gap highlights not just what they are, but how they handle them. Xavier is young and brash, confronting issues with the bluntness of youth, while Reuben is steady but also wearier. His career as a photojournalist has taken its toll, and his commitment to his friends means he puts them before himself pretty much always (even toxic best friends). What results is a lengthy and turbulent span of time between their first whirlwind affair to their second chance. When Xavier is the one who needs to face his demons and make a choice about his future. They are beautiful together in this gentle, loving story. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Once upon a time, Reuben Langley broke Xavier Conway’s heart. Five years later, Xavier has convinced himself that he’s over it...

REVIEW: A Summer with Dean by Michael McIlwee

Image
A SUMMER WITH DEAN by Michael McIlwee Release Date: February 17, 2026 Review I quite enjoyed this author's first MM Romance; the characters and setting were dynamic and engaging. And the writing style kept you engaged. These two budding actors come together at an acting summer program. Their path there is different, and their connection is friendship first, but with time and acceptance they develop a sweet love. The end felt a bit rushed, but I really like the journey, and will definitely be looking out for more books from the author. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Patrick O'Connell, a Broadway dancer with a notorious knack for attracting romantic catastrophes, lands in London with a bruised heart and a desperate yearning to rewrite his life. His acceptance into a prestigious acting school feels like destiny a chance to trade past heartbreaks for profound theatrical artistry in a city brimming with new possibilities. But when he meets Dean Clarke, a fellow stude...

REVIEW: Sacred Virtues by Jem Wendel

Image
SACRED VIRTUES Sins of the Sacred Series by Jem Wendel Release Date: June 3, 2026 Review This was a really wonderful premise, the history of the dissolution of a monastery.  It’s a fascinating world, and really intriguing characters. Especially being gay in both the age but also being in the monastery. I would definitely be interested in more from this world. My only hiccup was that the language sometimes felt too modern for 1539. Especially the intimate moments. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis It’s 1539 and the dissolution of the Monasteries is at its height. Father Theobald knows it’s only a matter of time before his Abbey will be closed. When a young commissioner comes to negotiate he doesn’t expect his virtues might also be at stake. Part of Sins of the Sacred , a dark priest romance shared world series featuring eleven amazing authors. About Jem Wendel Jem is a British author living on the east coast of England with a range of animals. Jem loves to write st...

REVIEW: A Kiss for the Holidays by CS Autumn (A Home for You #1)

A KISS FOR THE HOLIDAYS A Home in You - Book One by CS Autumn Release Date: December 2, 2024 Review A sweet holiday romance between two best friends, some pinning and one bed bring them together. Finally! Years in the making, being trapped in a cabin during a storm helps them figure out their feelings and…*gasp*....communicate!! They are cute and likable, and I’m always a sucker for a snowstorm, one-bed scenario. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Asher I can still remember the very first day I met Dalton McKenzie and the day I fell in love with him, too. But after an awful party game, I realize that no matter how often he kisses my cheek or holds my hand, he will never love me the same way. Putting space between us seems like the best idea, but when we wind up trapped together in a tiny cabin with only one bed, space is not an option. Dalton Asher is my best friend. He's been by my side since we were nine years old, so when he starts pushing me away, I know something...

REVIEW: Licked by Charlie Novak (Lick It! #1)

LICKED Lick It! - Book One by Charlie Novak Release Date: May 12, 2026 Review EEEEEEE I never want to leave Heather Bay, the boys of the newest Ice Cream shop are the perfect addition. Alfie has returned home to open the shop with his best friends. It’s a stressful endeavour, starting a new business, and starting a new relationship at the same time probably isn't the best idea. But there’s Jonathan. Jonathan, who is sweet, kind, and understanding.  They are a super sweet and supportive couple, and i love their little dates and snatched moments. And surprise, surprise, the audiobook is narrated by Dan Calley, who, gah, is perfect.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Lick It Like A Good Boy It’s not often you meet gorgeous gothic men at wargaming tournaments. So, of course I tripped over my tongue instead of asking for his number. And despite my friends’ numerous offers to help find him online, we’re too busy opening Lick It!, our new ice cream shop, to spare ti...
