MORE CHANCES TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book Five by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: February 13, 2026 Review Tattoo-covered bear comes back to his hometown to face his demons - finds love and home. But it wasn’t without some emotional struggle and resentment. Growing up in Firely wasn’t easy for Charlie, so he left as soon as he could. Now he’s come home to help his mother in the wake of his father's death.  To say he’s reluctant to be there is an understatement. But upon his return, he runs into Nick, one very dejected visitor who says he’s hiding away thanks to being cursed after a series of disastrous life events. These two find hope in each other, and support one another through their turmoil, and find love at the end. Lesson: Always be prepared for a bear attack! REVIEW: One Chance to Stay by Ryder O'Malley (Bears of Firefly Valley #4)

ONE CHANCE TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book Four by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: September 16, 2025 Review Firefly Valley has a glorious amount of big boys, as soon as I find this town I’m packing my bags! Not to mention the wonderful cast of townfolk who may be nosey, but are a loving bunch. One Chance to Stay includes a grumpy recluse whom I absolutely love. Seamus is an older man who has drawn inward and keeps his distance from everyone. But then a half-frozen Patrick lands on his doorstep. Patrick is a talkative, friendly guy who at first wants to thank the man who saved him, but then he just wants to make Seamus smile and feel. It’s romance with a lot of push and pull as they navigate their feelings, but also where they’ve come from, and where they are going in life. I love that through their journey, they grow and change, but neither becomes someone different. They are still grumpy/sunshine, just happier! REVIEW: Every Reason to Stay by Ryder O'Malley (Bears of Firefly Valley #3)

EVERY REASON TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book Three by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: April 15, 2025 Review This series has gotten better and better with each book. This one is downright sweet and delicious. It has all my favourite aspects of small town romances with a whole lot of gorgeous bears and a side of love of comic books, which adds a fun twist. Not to mention a gang of Drag Queens! Jon and Tyler are the cutest - but also just down right good people.  And as Jon navigates life post Mimi’s death, he uncovers secrets (to him) of her life, and finds a home, family and purpose while simultaneously getting to know the boy who set his life a lite so many years ago. Full of adorable dates, town meddling, and a very naughty calendar, Every Reason to Stay warmed my heart and made me want to both settle down and travel far and wide! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Firefly Valley, a town filled with small-town chaos and second chances. My grandmother left me h...

REVIEW: More Reason to Stay by Ryder O'Malley (Bears of Firefly Valley #2)

MORE REASON TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book Two by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: February 11, 2025 Review Such an endearing story.  Full of humour and warmth. I chuckled and smiled the whole way through.  It is full of the best kind of small-town characters, quirky, nosy, and completely loveable. It’s written from a single-person point of view, and though I would love to see things from Bobby’s point of view, it was great to really delve deep into Chris’s perspective and understanding. And meeting Bobby and the town from his point of view.  Bobby is the kind of man, you underestimate, but he’s beautiful. He is happy with his ‘simple’ life, but he also has dreams. And a willingness to be in the moment and live for now. It’s a humble bravery that I would fall for.  This story passed in no time, a true pleasure to read. And I suddenly have a fetish for a man in overalls. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Firefly Valley, the perfect escape while t...

REVIEW: One Reason to Stay by Ryder O'Malley (Bears of Firefly Valley #1)

ONE REASON TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book One by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: September 17, 2024 Review This has everything I love about a quaint small-town romance! A lovely town that will go above and beyond for one of its own. An out of towner who fits right in. A guy with a dream, but struggling to figure out quite what it is. And really great kid. Simon and Jason were both really likeable guys. Kind, down-to-earth, and pretty sweet. They are also pretty hot together. That first encounter…damn! I also really loved the superhero, comic book, comicon narrative. I loved how it highlighted its ability to breach the gap between children and parents; as an entryway to reading, or in this case, bringing a community together. And even if it isn’t your thing, it was super relatable.  Seriously, this one of those warm and cozy stories also made you blush a little!
