REVIEW: Oyster by Fearne Hill (Island Love #2)

OYSTER Island Love - Book Two by Fearne Hill Release Date: July 11, 2024 Review I almost didn’t read this when I received it and found out it was MF. I’m pretty much an exclusive MM reader, but I adored the first book, Salt, so I decided I wanted to give it a try. And for those that love Fearne, you will love this. It has the same beautiful style and intriguing characters you expect from her. The setting is stunning and the community of friends and family surrounding them are terrific. The storyline was unique. An oyster farmer and a world-famous soccer player. When they meet on the beach one night, there is a connection that neither can ignore. What starts as a beautiful and tentative connection, soon becomes so much deeper and grander. One that they can’t ignore and breathes life into their lives and personal struggles.  It is a tender story with a lot of heart.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Low tides threw up all kinds of unexpected and random treasur...

REVIEW: Salt by Fearne Hill (Island Love #1)

SALT Island Love - Book One by Fearne Hill Release Date: April 10, 2024 Review Fearne has a really beautiful languid style of storytelling, and she picks some really interesting settings and occupations. In this case, a salt Island in France, which I loved. One of my favourite non-fiction books is Salt by Mark Kurlansky, so this story made my nerdy heart sing, not to mention my love of all things french! Charles was a fascinating character, and lordy, I can’t imagine what it’s like to have a brain causing so much chaos. It was heartbreaking. But his strength was beautiful. Some would ask why Florian would sign up for all of it. It’s a testament to the fact that our hearts aren’t logical. When someone speaks to you, you love all of them. And his Belgian was what his heart wanted. I loved the way they helped and supported each other, while also finding their own personal strength to go after what they want and need.
