REVIEW: Christmas Beau by Amy Aislin (Christmas Falls Season 2)

CHRISTMAS BEAU Christmas Falls Season 2 by Amy Aislin Release Date: November 29, 2024 Review Christmas Beau is a fantastic holiday romance. Two really wonderful men who, though, are different, not so much that they are opposites.  Four dogs who are completely spoiled and adored, and one 12-year-old who makes you smile at every turn. Hank and Scott are both on new paths in their lives, unsure of their feelings about dating anyone, but open enough to realize a good thing when they see it. Scott is an adorable mess when Henk is around, and I love that frequently his son is around to point it out! (love that kid) His life is in chaos and I really enjoyed that he was open about it. He didn’t find shame in admitting that he was out of work and figuring things out. Hank is the baby of four and with 3 uber-successful brothers, it’s not been easy feeling successful in his own life. He needs someone to see him for who he is, not who he could or ‘should’ have been. With lots of doggy p...

REVIEW: Road to a Cowboy by Amy Aislin (Windsor, Wyoming #2)

Image
ROAD TO A COWBOY Windsor, Wyoming - Book Two by Amy Aislin Release Date: August 6, 2024 Review Fantastic, swoony, BFF cowboys set in gorgeous Wyoming…all the yes’s. A good cowboy story has a certain atmosphere to it - one that evokes the sturdy and laid-back nature of country folk. It’s perfect for a deep connection between two friends to find a love that will last.  And a large ranch and small community provide a great opportunity for found family. People who will support you and care about your future. I love the way they care and support one another, even just as friends. I especially loved how fiercely Austin tried to protect and defend Cal from his mother! I’m also a big fan of a story that incorporates some wanderlust into it. It’s a relationship built on such a steady foundation that it can withstand anything. It honours both their natures, and that makes me swoon every time. AUDIO REVIEW: Christmas Lane by Amy Aislin

Image
AMY LANE Lighthouse Bay - Book One by Amy Aislin Release Date: November 29, 2018 Audio Release Date: June 4, 2024 by Aaron Hokanson Review Zach has a crush on his grade 3 teacher, now the town handyman. He fills out a pair of jeans perfectly and really knows how to use his tools!  I enjoyed Zach. He really embodies a young man on the precipice of his future. His drive and passion was palpable. He’s back home helping his sister at the family cafe while trying to find a job that will utilize his degree and talents. What he’s really missing though is connection with someone special. Holland is a gem of a man. Kind-hearted, giving, and talented. Though he’s attracted to Zach, he’s understandably a little apprehensive about the age gap. But as they work on the town Christmas parade, they develop a friendship and real feelings which is what they both need. It’s a slow burn, set amongst the fun and chaos of small-town holiday preparations, with lots of great side characters. I ador...

REVIEW: Game On by Amy Aislin (Vancouver Orcas #3)

Image
GAME ON Vancouver Orcas - Book Three by Amy Aislin Release Date: January 30, 2024 Review Dorian has always been an intriguing character that I’ve looked forward to getting to know better.  He’s completely his own person, but also driven by never quite feeling like he’s good enough, thanks to his parents who, quite frankly, suck, despite being an incredibly talented and successful man. He needs someone who stands by him and cheerleads for him. Jamie Jamieson - well, I am madly in love with the man. And for the record, I would always call him Jamie Jamieson, LOL.  He’s looking for a fresh start. He deserves a fresh start, and the Orcas are absolutely the best place to do that. The coaches are wonderful standup people, and the players are such a terrific gang of guys.  I also love his family and his relationship with them.  He’s the perfect person for Dorian. Caring, thoughtful, and believes in him full stop. And gives him a family that loves. One of my favourite...
