Dexter somehow finds himself friends of sorts with his surrogate's best friend. It’s a reluctant and awkward friendship, but it makes it all the more adorable. Viggo is a little lost, or maybe more so, wounded, and he holds himself apart from others. Not meanly, more sad.  But this unusual bond helps them both find something that settles them, within themselves and the town. There are also a lot of doughnuts, so that makes me happy.
