REVIEW: Guarded by Lark Taylor (Hopeless Blessed #3)

GUARDED Hopeless Blessed - Book Three by Lark Taylor Release Date: August 27, 2025 Review My heart - these two - just wrap them up in all the goodness. Jeremiah, poor tortured demon. The timing wasn’t great, tasting freedom for the first time and finding your mate. But he was such a good de-man, and patient. Loved everything about him. Noah, an Angel with some trauma, he couldn’t be expected to react any differently. How do you trust after you have spent centuries having your trust and self-worth destroyed?  But by Satan they build something beautiful, and the way they show up for each other will restore all faith in ‘humanity’. It’s a slow burn, but fated or not, these two choose each other, and it’s entirely swoony. I adore this world that Lark has built.  Not just the characters but the underlying worldview of religion, politics, and humanity.  They’re a brilliant writer who captures my attention entirely and makes me want to read the books over and over. Ps - t...

REVIEW: Finlay by Lark Taylor (The Wild Edges #1)

FINLAY The Wild Edges - Book One by Lark Taylor Release Date: June 19, 2025 Review Lark Taylor remains one of my most favourite authors. She writes these sweeping tales that completely consume me. She makes me cry and laugh and tense with anticipation. And this supernatural/shifter world that she’s created makes me wish upon a wish that it were real. I don’t know how to describe the world - it’s both simple and complex at the same time. And in this new series, we venture into a wolf shifter pack that we met through Danny.  I thought Danny’s story broke my heart, but Finlay…gah. Living a century carrying both the burden of having been in love with someone who wasn’t yours and having to silently mourn their loss. Geez. And then also being left to lead their pack. He’s incredible. Then Chester arrives. The lovely florist who can write an entire story in flowers, but has been left scarred by his previous relationship with this toxic abusive ex. He’s such a lovely soul. Chester i...

REVIEW: Covenant by Cora Rose & Lark Taylor (The Firm #1)

COVENANT The Firm - Book One by Cora Rose  Release Date: May 23, 2025 Review Oh my gosh, the darkness, the tension, the secrets, and the tender attraction behind it all was so good.  I was totally obsessed with where this story would lead. Cora and Lark are a fantastic writing duo, and I’m not sure which I want more: more of Wyatt and Matt or stories of the other Firm members. I also really love the premise of the Firm, an organization that seems to bring help to those in need, but also has a dark element to it. It’s intriguing, and I can’t wait to see what other reasons folks end up seeking their help. Wyatt has built some pretty tall walls, and rightly so, but Matt wins my heart. That man and the life he’s had to live just hurts my heart. Really, I can’t say a lot without giving things away, just know you absolutely should read this. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The Firm can make any wish come true. Money. A job promotion. Murder. Whatever you desire c...

REVIEW: Devoted by Lark Taylor (Hopeless Blessed #2)

Image
DEVOTED Hopeless Blessed - Book Two by Lark Taylor Release Date: February 19, 2025 Review I’m obsessed with this world that Lark has created. An elite group of Angels finding their mates while protecting people and doing battle for what is right, even if that’s some of the people in heaven. Ezekiel and Sam are such a great pairing.  Human and angel. Sexy as hell. And really sweet. Sam is a beautiful human being. Dealing with multiple mental health issues that impact his life, full stop. Resigned to never finding love or real friends, he finds Zeke online. And these two create a special bond even before they ever meet. Zeke is adorable - super grumpy and hot-tempered, his life is flipped upside down when Sam enters his life. Together they find so much healing and acceptance and I couldn’t love that for them more. I also really loved Zeke and his Seraphim family and how their relationships evolved throughout the story. They’re a complex group with supernatural egos, so the ten...
