  TEXAS PRIDE Texas Pride - Book One by Kindle Alexander Release Date: March 15, 2013 Review Hollywood heartthrob turned rancher! The story was a lot of fun, and they are definitely hot together. And I love a story that involves coming out and owning your sexual orientation, especially in a rural area.  Kitt is kind, hardworking, and loyal. You totally root for him to find love and to be free. I liked Austin, he’s a bit of a golden retriever, but he also never respects boundaries, lies (by omission) numerous times, and makes decisions for Kitt without talking to him. Review: Such a great story. Ducky, the youngest sibling, is wonderful. He’s fallen into fame and fortune, but without a chance to get used to it, he is being pushed out of his comfort zone, and missing his normal life. A gamer and coder, slightly geeky, but maturing, especially out of direct reach of his hateful father and eldest brother. It’s a lot for this adorable introvert to take on. Chad is the one bright spot. Charming and adventurous. A friend who truly likes Ducky for who he is, not for his success. He too is questioning life and his future. Struggling to figure out what’s next, which isn’t easy when your parents are wealthy and famous. Thankfully what happens in Hawaii, doesn’t stay in Hawaii! Together they make such a sweet and fun-loving couple, and I love how they support one another, bringing out the best in each other and easily accepting the choices the other makes. Review: I’ll admit, this started off slow and felt too long in the beginning, too detailed in contracts and business. I doubted for a bit. BUT…once the relationship started, I was hooked, like I lost sleep hooked. I didn’t like Greer in the beginning, it was too much of a game for him, and trying to push Dallas when he wasn’t out made me protective of him, made me want to tell Greer to step off. However, he changed, within himself, and he turned out to be really great guy (still pushy, but lovingly so). And Dallas, he is a deeply caring and loyal guy through and through. He’s dealt with so much, carried so much, and still kept his head held high. Watching him come into himself was heartwarming. Final verdict?
