REVIEW: Himbo by Emmy Sanders (Elite 8 Studios #4)

HIMBO Elite 8 Studios - Book Four by Emmy Sanders Release Date: November 30, 2023 Review This was a really sweet and comforting story. I love it when a story is based around the idea of being seen for who you really are. It’s a beautiful thing that always tugs at my heart. And these two both share that.  Cas who works at Elite 8 Studios as Himbo is often viewed as being flighty and not very smart. Especially in the wealthy business world that his family resides in. But in fact he’s all kinds of smart, just not in the ways the business world appreciates. He’s kind, caring, and hella compassionate. He’s also driven to help others. And he’ll steal your heart that same way he stole Jason’s. Jason is absolutely adorable in his stammering ways when he first meets Cas. He’s also demisexual which makes him a bit apprehensive dating thanks to previous idiots who weren’t willing to care about anything more than getting off. But oh boy, when he gains confidence and starts to trust and open up w

REVIEW: The Christmas Collection by Garrett Leigh

THE CHRISTMAS COLLECTION by Garrett Leigh Release Date: November 30, 2023 Review The Christmas Collection by Garrett Leigh contains three of her holiday romances each including a bonus epilogue featuring cameos of some of our favourite characters.  So, you get three stories in one and not released elsewhere material. Merry Christmas to us! Angels in the City  The bonus epilogue in Angels in the City features Alexei and let me say, I love that guy and this made me a little mushy for him. Well, as mushy as Alexei would ever allow. Jonah and Sacha are complex and beautiful. They work on the same floor but meet by chance in a stuck elevator. Turned fake date to appease Johah’s mother, and because there will be canapes! They are both driven and successful, but while Jonah is outgoing, thoughtful and social, our Russian, Sacha is more closed off, sparse for words, and brutally honest about matters of work. They just work. Jonah brings softness while Sacha brings a strength that makes me me

REVIEW: The Silent Mountain Man by Casey Cox (Movin' Mountains #1)

THE SILENT MOUNTAIN MAN Movin’ to the Mountains - Book One by Casey Cox Release Date: November 29, 2023 Review I quite liked this novella about two men reconnecting after years of having disappeared from each other's lives. And my enjoyment had nothing to do with dreaming about finding my very own mountain man with flannel and gorgeous hair. I swear. It’s a novella so things move quickly, but you still get a look at when they first met and fell in love while keeping some mysteries for us to find out later in the story. They definitely had big reasons why they didn’t keep in touch. Harrick is a fantastic bloke, who had retreated into himself, and I loved how HIS Eddie brought him back to his old self. I’m always a sucker for pinning and second chances so this fit me perfectly.  I also love the idea of passing notes or letters, it’s so sweet. The things these two have been through…they deserve all the sweetness. I hadn’t read the blurbs (because it was Casey Cox and I was going to

REVIEW: Wrapped Up in You by Melody Claire

WRAPPED UP IN YOU by Melody Claire Release Date: November 28, 2023 Review Step-brothers snowed in for the holidays.  Yes, please. There’s an age gap that means these step-brothers barely know each other, and what they do know or think isn’t very complimentary. So when they find themselves at the family cabin just the two of them for the holidays things get a little rocky. Because their opinions of the other also reinforce the reasons for Johnathan’s divorce and Hayden’s fight with his father. Both these men fled to the cabin already holding a lot of feelings and hurt. But there’s nothing like a little forced proximity to allow people to get to know each other, and that’s really all they needed. A chance to get past Johnathan’s uptight persona or Hayden’s flighty one. The opportunity to understand what drives them, what haunts them, and of course they discover how well they balance each other. They are really quite sweet together, and I love their families.  All of them were well-mean

REVIEW: Drama Queen by Charlie Novak (The Court Series #1)

DRAMA QUEEN The Court Series - Book One by Charlie Novak Release Date: November 28, 2023 Review What worked: Everything! What didn’t work: Nothing!! I will be forever sad that we’ve left Heather Bay, but I’ll grasp onto the little hope that they will make cameos as they have here.  There’s no way you won’t fall for Rory/Bubblegum Galaxy. He and She are incredibly kind and spirited and they bring some sparkle wherever they go. You’ll also want his family all three of them were fantastic. West, is an absolute marshmallow of a man, a professional rugby player with the sweetest disposition. He’s relatively newly out as bi-sexual and he’s still finding his way in his identity, but he has one BFF in particular who is determined to keep him out of the closet. Their friendship makes me gleeful. Rory and West work so well together. They are fun and playful and all kinds of perfect. West is the most genuinely kind man ever and makes Rory feel seen and valued. They also melt more than a few pag
