REVIEW: Silent is the Heart by Dianna Roman

SILENT IS THE HEART by Dianna Roman Release Date: March 4, 2025 Review I was totally consumed by this story - a story of second chances and hidden truths. Life sent them in different directions, and they both made assumptions of what the other's life was like after. If only it were true. At times, it was a tough read - so much pain and hurt, but it was also healing and beautiful.  And I loved the way they drew each other out of themselves and learned to trust and love. It also had a touch of darkness to it that really added another layer to it. These two will live in my heart for a long while. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis One cold night stole everything from Easton Bennick—his childhood, his voice, and the only person who loved him. A ward of the state, left with nothing but pain and no way to communicate it, Hampton Hills Rehabilitation Center feels like a sentence rather than a road to recovery, until Aaron Manicki. Eight years ago, Hampton Hills was suppos...

REVIEW: The Idiot by Dianne Roman (Carver Brothers #2)

Image
THE IDIOT Carver Brothers - Book Two by Dianna Roman Release Date: July 2, 2024 Review This is a cheeky story of a bumbling golden retriever of a best friend and his largely closeted bestie. Never have you met two men who are absolutely clueless about how communication works! This rom-com follows Murphy who’s trying to put some distance between him and the straight best friend he’s been in love with, for like ever. While Jesse keeps crashing Murphy’s best-laid plans. They are both a bit ridiculous and sometimes seem to forget how the English language works. Which of course causes all sorts of drama and generally finding Jesse is some hilarious situations!   They were certainly cute once they got there in the end. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis There's no picking who you love...nor getting rid of them Murphy Malone loves his orchard, his mother, and his dog. Life is great until he can't stop thinking about what he's missing—someone to share it all with. Whe...

REVIEW: The Gentleman by Dianna Roman

Image
THE GENTLEMAN by Dianna Roman Release Date: March 5, 2024 Review Don’t judge a person by their plant pot.  Never thought you’d need that warning did you! LOL But it’s a good reminder that sometimes we see what we want to see. And it definitely led to an interesting start to their relationship. Cam is young and grew up with an overbearing and awful father who likes to control those around him. But he’s ready to try something for himself.  Enter Pete, the man Cam can just tell will be a great mentor. Except he’s straight. But that doesn’t let Pete stop him. He’s too surprised and curious to put a stop to things. It’s a neat story, with lots of self-discovery, and love. The time and care Pete puts into Cam is pretty sweet. And the acceptance and love Cam showed Pete was wonderful.  “He’s touch-starved, so heartbreakingly touch-starved that I don’t know how I didn’t notice it sooner. When his arms close tighter around me, I can’t help but wonder if I am, too.” Truthful...

REVIEW: The Fating by Dianna Roman

Image
THE FATING by Dianna Roman Release Date: November 15, 2023 Review Alien sci-fi rom-com…sure, why not? It was a bit ridiculous (I mean that as a compliment), slightly over the top, somewhat bizarre, and really quite endearing.  Grantham is the sweetest, kindest sunshiniest alien you ever did meet. No matter how grumpy Cole was, he was always patient and understanding. Though in Cole’s defence, I would be a little grumpy with such a long fating ritual too. Having been captured and enslaved wouldn’t help my mood any either. I feel like earthly contemporary monarchs would be much more interesting if they followed some of the practices of Ditali. Through in some strangely cute love pets, you have an entertaining rom-com. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I hate Galaxy 6781. HATE it! One last job. The bounty of a lifetime. It wasn’t supposed to end with me on a Skogari slave planet and my entire crew dead. So, after three months of misery, when the chance to escape pres...
