REVIEW: Brokered Betrayals by Aimee Nicole Walker (Sawyer & Royce: Felonies and Fatherhood #3)

BROKERED BETRAYALS Sawyer and Royce: Felonies and Fatherhood - Book Three by Aimee Nicole Walker Release Date: December 16, 2025 Review A delightful ending for Royce and Sawyer. It’s a cute story, our boys becoming fathers. And there’s plenty of love and humour, as you expect from them. I’m going to miss them. But these two softees will be amazing fathers. This is very heavy on the day-to-day life of child rearing, with only a hint of crime/mystery/suspense, which I would have loved to see more of. But we did get to see a cast of characters we love. Hey, maybe we’ll get another series of them. I feel like I would about them well into grandpa-hood. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Years of dreaming. Nine months of preparing. Fatherhood has finally arrived for Royce and Sawyer Locke. Darla Grace is everything her fathers dreamed she’d be and more. Their precious daughter stole their hearts long before she was born and had them wrapped around her tiny fist with her first...

A CANDY CANE CHRISTMAS Single Dads All the Way - Book Three by Ray Celar Release Date: November 18, 2025 Review An adorable and bright addition to our holiday dads. Chaotic ADHD’er meets put-together single dad, with a little girl accidentally playing matchmaker. A little girl who’s a Union leader in the making! Luci is vibrant and kind of exhausting (lovingly).  He brings a lot of life to Theo’s world. A world where he’s been taking care of his little girl solo since he was 17. He’s an amazing dad, but he hasn’t considered his own happiness. Now he’s spending Christmas with his neighbour, and I’m pretty sure Santa has granted all their wishes. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Is it 'stranger danger' if the stranger involved is one of Santa's Elves? The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to be a good dad to my daughter. Having her at seventeen put me at a disadvantage, but I’ve been working hard to make up for it and get my life on track. Being dependable and ste...

REVIEW: Husband of the Year by MA Wardell (Teachers in Love #4)

HUSBAND OF THE YEAR Teachers In Love - Book Four by MA Wardell Release Date: November 18, 2025 Review Incredible! MA Wardell has such a skill for writing. It flows beautifully, and it keeps you glued to the page. His characters are loving, kind people with flaws that only you love for them more. Two years in, Marvin and Olan are still madly in love, a happy family successfully co-parenting Ilona with Olan’s ex-wife, and now they are planning a wedding.  It sounds idyllic. But real life is never perfect, and families can be complicated, so when life throws a wrench in your way, you either crumble or step up. Sometimes it can feel like both may happen.  Husband of the Year is full of emotion, tender and hard,  and along the way, they have to make the decision to choose love, not just expect it. They are a gorgeous pair who are formidable when they communicate and work together. And Ilona is special. Seriously, they are a wonderful family (immediate and extended), and...

REVIEW: A Sugar Pine Christmas by AD Ellis (Single Dads All the Way #1)

A SUGAR PINE CHRISTMAS Single Dads All the Way - Book One by AD Ellis Release Date: November 4, 2025 Review A second chance wrapped up in holiday goodness and a project to help save their small town. It’s a pretty sweet story. Mattie and Sam had the potential for something, but life happened. Now, with a bit of meddling, they have the chance to finally find out what they could be. They are both good guys who deserve to find something special. As they navigate their reunion they also join forces to bring a renewed sense of community to their small town, mixed with some fun interactions with Sam’s nephew. Whom he raises part-time with his sister when she’s on deployment. I really liked the nephew addition. He adds an element of focus for them to bond over, and he perfectly captures a teenager - sweet and distant in equal measure, and a little cheeky. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Mattie Blackwell is a different man than the one who left Sugar Pine all those years ago...
