REVIEW: Devoted by Lark Taylor (Hopeless Blessed #2)

DEVOTED Hopeless Blessed - Book Two by Lark Taylor Release Date: February 19, 2025 Review I’m obsessed with this world that Lark has created. An elite group of Angels finding their mates while protecting people and doing battle for what is right, even if that’s some of the people in heaven. Ezekiel and Sam are such a great pairing.  Human and angel. Sexy as hell. And really sweet. Sam is a beautiful human being. Dealing with multiple mental health issues that impact his life, full stop. Resigned to never finding love or real friends, he finds Zeke online. And these two create a special bond even before they ever meet. Zeke is adorable - super grumpy and hot-tempered, his life is flipped upside down when Sam enters his life. Together they find so much healing and acceptance and I couldn’t love that for them more. I also really loved Zeke and his Seraphim family and how their relationships evolved throughout the story. They’re a complex group with supernatural egos, so the ten...

REVIEW: More Reason to Stay by Ryder O'Malley (Bears of Firefly Valley #2)

MORE REASON TO STAY Bears of Firefly Valley - Book Two by Ryder O’Malley Release Date: February 11, 2025 Review Such an endearing story.  Full of humour and warmth. I chuckled and smiled the whole way through.  It is full of the best kind of small-town characters, quirky, nosy, and completely loveable. It’s written from a single-person point of view, and though I would love to see things from Bobby’s point of view, it was great to really delve deep into Chris’s perspective and understanding. And meeting Bobby and the town from his point of view.  Bobby is the kind of man, you underestimate, but he’s beautiful. He is happy with his ‘simple’ life, but he also has dreams. And a willingness to be in the moment and live for now. It’s a humble bravery that I would fall for.  This story passed in no time, a true pleasure to read. And I suddenly have a fetish for a man in overalls. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Firefly Valley, the perfect escape while t...

REVIEW: The Year of Us: February by EM Denning and Kate Hawthorne (The Year of Us #2)

THE YEAR OF US: FEBRUARY The Year of Us - Book Two by Kate Hawthorne & EM Denning Release Date: February 10, 2025 Review Oooh, I’m going to fall hard for these two! These opposites attract, dualling dominants are absolutely seductive. The tension between them is staggering and it’s only their second meeting. Like Cory and Reese, I’ve been thinking about them all month too, and I won’t be stopping any time soon. I can’t wait to see where things go beyond just their sexual compatibility. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The Year of Us is a twelve novelette series from Kate Hawthorne and EM Denning, exploring what happens when two men with nothing in common find out there might be something between them after all. February is Cory and Reese's second meeting, and their stories are meant to be read in order. -- Cory Callahan and Reese Rollins are total opposites. Cory wears a Rolex and makes six figures a year. Reese is a bartender with a busted screen on his cellphone...

REVIEW: Paper Roses by Lily Morton (Confetti Hitched #3)

Image
PAPER ROSES Confetti Hitched - Book Three by Lily Morton Release Date: February 9, 2025 Review Lily Morton is such an incredible author.  Their humour is witty and endearing and her characters always contain larger-than-life traits while also capturing the simple characteristics that make them human and real. I love a man who gets a second chance at love.  Jed, owner of Confetti Hitched, was widowed, and has been living in the shadow of that loss ever since. He’s warm and caring but also a little closed off. Artie is sweet and kind, and despite his crappy upbringing, he hasn’t lost his shine. And he’s been in love with his boss for a while. So when Jed agrees to fake marry Artie, it’s no doubt it’ll be a wild ride full of emotional struggles, connections, and some flaming heat. The lust is fast, but their love is a beautiful slow burn. They are an incredible couple full of warmth and tenderness.  Their story also contains some wonderful cameos, hilarious hijinks an...
