THE BAIT The Milvus Files - Book Two by NR Walker Release Date: September 27, 2024 Audio Release Date: September 6, 2024 Review Harry and Asher’s quaint life in the remotes of Australia is disrupted, and their lives are thrown into chaos when they and their friends' lives come under attack. Suddenly, after a couple of years, they are back in the game, unsure who to trust, who the bad guys are, whether or not they will ever get their quiet life and cat back. It’s an entertaining game of cat and mouse, as we are reminded why these two work so well together, and exactly how much they love. Such a great couple, and I love the suspense of it all. And let’s not forget, the audiobook is narrated by Glen Lloyd, who will always be a favourite - he’s truly talented Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis When three men turn up in their sleepy little town of Tallowwood, Harry and Asher know something’s wrong. Not because someone could find them, but the fact that Asher’s informant and ...

REVIEW: Red Dirt Heart 4 by NR Walker

RED DIRT HEART 4 Red Dirt Heart - Book Four by NR Walker Release Date: January 9, 2014 Audio Release Date: March 2, 2018 Review Travis, you are as perfect as I and Charlie knew you were. I grinned through this whole book. Just pure happiness for these boys. It wasn’t always easy but it was absolutely worth it. Charlie through Travis’ eye is incredibly beautiful. This man who has no idea how incredible he is, smart, and a fantastic boss and leader. Watching him learn to love and be loved…I melt into a puddle of goo. I love how assured and confident Travis is, but I also love him when he’s insecure and in need of Charlie’s assurances. The land they live on may be harsh, but the love on this ranch/station is anything but. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Moving from a Texas ranch to an Australian Outback station was a life changing decision for Travis Craig. Though it wasn’t really a decision at all. Something in his bones told him to go, though he had no clue as to why....

IMAGINES Imago - Book Two by NR Walker Release Date: April 8, 2017 Audio Release Date: February 2, 2021 Review Pure love for these two. Seriously they are absolutely precious.   Our boys are dating but now they need to figure out if they can make it work in real life. When the lure of saving a butterfly draws Lawson in, choices will have to be made. This story is sweet and playful and highlights their personalities perfectly, but especially how well they work together. They are a dream team, playing off each other's strengths, sharing an inquisitive nature, and loving each other whole heartedly. Adorable. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Jack Brighton and Lawson Gale have been together for six months and are very much in love. Lawson’s work ensuring the survival of the Tillman Copper is as demanding as ever, and Jack’s work with the regeneration of the bushfire-ravaged national park is just as hectic. When Jack suggests they take a short trip, Lawson agrees....

AUDIO REVIEW: Imago by NR Walker (Imago #1)

IMAGO Imago - Book One by NR Walker Release Date: February 18, 2017 Audio Release Date: June 30, 2020 Review Lawson is a gem! A nerdy genius who is great with social cues just makes you swoon! Paired with Jack, the charming and easygoing man who woes like no other. I love that he doesn’t let the past or short tenure of their time get in the way of him jumping at the chance to have something with Lawson. These two are utterly charming. Their easy nature and cute banter, days spent working side by side, and evenings complete with lovely dates.  And the Tasmanian scenery will lull you in. I love it when NR Walker takes to beautiful lands. She makes you feel like you are there.  I especially enjoyed this as an audiobook. Narrated by Antony Ferguson who was new to me. It was a fantastic experience. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Nerdy, introverted genius lepidopterist, Lawson Gale, is an expert on butterflies. He finds himself in a small town in Tasmania on a q...

AUDIO REVIEW: Red Dirt Heart 3 by NR Walker (Red Dirt Series #3)

Image
RED DIRT HEART 3 Red Dirt Heart Series - Book Three by NR Walker Release Date: October 17, 2014 Audio Release Date: September 4, 2017 Review Part 3 of Charlie and Travis’ story is beautiful and emotional as Charlie is put to the test in his belief that he is enough for Travis.  Travis has to return home to Texas and Charlie is forced to discover that he can in fact function, if not thrive, without him. Even if he also knows he never wants to. It’s a powerful story of growth for Charlie. He really comes into his own, but it also highlights how beautiful their relationship is. There’s a lot that happens in this story, it brings the whole station together, and makes them a little stronger, and a little bigger. It’s super engaging and really draws you in. It’s also helped by narrator Joel Leslie, whom I said over and over, is an absolutely amazing talent and makes every listening experience one of the best ever.
