REVIEW: Burning Love by Ashley James (Sweet Briar #1)

Image
BURNING LOVE Sweet Briar - Book One by Ashley James Release Date: August 27, 2026 Review Such a beautiful tale that had me tearing up more than a few times.  One of those epic, stories that spans many years, uncovers years of history, tragedy, and a second chance.   To say Chesney and Jasper have a complicated past is an understatement. And complicated relationships with their families, it’s history, and it’s future. So much pain, and loss, and hurt.   But being forced together, forced to reckon with the past, and their feelings that have never really gone away made for an amazing story.   Truly a wonderful story. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis One year. Two ranches. A secret neither of them can outrun.   Chesney Jennings is the last person Jasper Smith ever expected to see back in Sweet Briar, Wyoming. So when Jasper’s grandfather dies and leaves half of Wind River Ranch to hi...

REVIEW: The Banker and the Blue Collar Man by Jackie North (Snow Creek Ranch Series)

Image
THE BANKER AND THE BLUE COLLAR MAN Snowcreek Ranch - Book Six by Jackie North Release Date: August 12, 2026 Review An incredible story. Absolutely touching and heartfelt. Jake, ah, that boy. His life that led him to the ranch, losing the man who showed him fatherly care and stability, and still sticking by the ranch and the new owner, even though it threw him off-kilter. He’s just an incredibly loyal and trustworthy guy. And I loved Dalton with him.  I also loved Jake for Dalton. Dalton is a city boy, with a corporate job, and a soul sucking family.  But he still believes he’s happy (happyish) with his life.  Until his friend cajoles him to come to the Ranch for a few days. Then a few more days, and a few more… There was just so much thoughtful care and understanding from both of them that really made me melt. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Love can be found in unexpected places As a ranch hand on a sprawling ranch in Colorado, Jake finds comfort in r...

REVIEW: The CEO and the Mountain Man by Kelly Fox (Snow Creek Ranch Series)

Image
THE CEO AND THE MOUNTAIN MAN Snow Creek Ranch Series by Kelly Fox Release Date: August 5, 2026 Review Still obsessed with this multi-author series. Each story has been fantastic. And Kelly’s addition is an emotional, beautiful addition. A father stumbling through the process of picking up the pieces for himself and his son after his ex-wife died and his son injured in a car crash. Desperately seeking a fresh start, he signs them up for two weeks at Snow Creek Ranch. And there they find their new selves, some healing, and love. So much love! It was fun to watch Clark to try and cowboy, and Beau is such an amazing human. Warm, thoughtful, definitely a nurturer. He had the perfect demeanour for both Clark and his son to find their footing. Seriously - fabulous story. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Desperation will make a man do crazy things. Like drag my grieving son from Chicago to a queer-friendly ranch in Colorado. I just wanted River to find himself again. I didn't...

REVIEW: Stables Spurs Suits by Becca Jackson (Beaker Brothers Ranch #3)

Image
STABLES SPURS SUITS Beaker Brothers Ranch - Book Three by Becca Jackson Release Date: July 30, 2026 Review I adore Beaker Brothers Ranch. This diverse group of softies, taking in random animals who need a home, caring for one another in their own way, and finding love. I love Becca’s writing style, creating characters that feel fulsome and funny with plenty of depth. And Atlas and Matthew are a lot of fun.  The corporate assistant who wears business attire, even in this tiny country town, mixed with the horse whisperer who would happily not wear clothes. They are a bit of an odd pair, but that’s also what makes them work so perfectly. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Welcome to Beaker Brothers Ranch. Part dairy farm, part animal sanctuary, and presently home to one nudist horseman who doesn’t believe in happily ever afters. Altas Summers is Beaker Brothers' resident horse whisperer. Kind, gentle, charming, and if you happen to wander past his out-of-the-way trail...

REIVEW: Ford by VL Locey (Bastian Brothers #3)

Image
FORD Bastian Brothers - Book Three by VL Locey Release Date: July 23, 2026 Review Ford has remained a complicated mystery, having run to the ranch with his best friend from trouble. The longer he spends there, the more peace he knows. Companionship is the one thing that’s really missing, especially with his brothers Baker and Dodge having found their people. The flirty vet is a welcome distraction.  Aiden is a flirt for sure. He hasn’t done commitment before, as everyone and their brother has warned Ford about. (and pisses me off to be honest!). Not to mention the assumption that Ford doesn’t know what he wants. But they just fit.  Ford can use some lightness in his life, and Aiden finds he’s pretty good with being settled with the right person. We have another story to go. I love seeing this family find calm and love as they go. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis For Ford, the wide-open skies of Oklahoma offer not just a break from the past but a chance to bu...
