REVIEW: Enzo's Embrace by Jaclyn Quinn (Tide to You #1)

Image
ENZO’S EMBRACE Tide to You - Book One by Jaclyn Quinn Release Date: May 31, 2024 Review To say I adored the boys of Shore Thing is an understatement. I loved each individual story, but even more, I loved them as friends! And I legit felt bereft when the series ended. So, to discover that I get more of them…well, I was stoked. And this new book/series did not disappoint! Enzo is Burke’s cousin, he lost his father and has been left with a crappy, homophobic mom. She exists in stark contrast to his aunt who has adopted all of them as her own and loves them no matter what. This is how he finds himself in Coral Pointe surrounded by the most amazing group of people ever. But still, it’s not until he meets Evian, a friend just his own, that he feels more settled and starts to believe in living his life for himself. The two of them develop a sweet friendship that brightens Enzo’s days.  Evian is pretty special, but as bright and amazing as he his, he’s also in need of something spec...

REVIEW: Sleighing Sage by Jaclyn Quinn (Shore Thing #5.5)

Image
SLEIGHING SAGE Shore Thing - Book 5.5 by Jaclyn Quinn Release Date: December 26, 2023 Review This was absolutely perfect.  I was so sad when I thought we’d already had the last of Shore Thing book.  This series is absolutely one of my favourite best-friends series.  Jaclyn perfectly captures brother like best friends. They are sweet, kind, supportive and loving but also tease each other endlessly, and I love every minute of it.  It’s also got my favourite parts of small-town story life - tight-knit community, plenty of gossip and quirky town folks. I didn’t realize how much I needed this wedding in my life. Set during the holidays we get to see all our guys and their family. But most all Levi, gah, my heart. That boy needed this wedding! It was also great to be reminded about how perfect they are for each other. And just how wonderful Sage is. There were plenty of laughs, but also so many great tender moments, folks stepping up for the people they love, and a ...

AUDIO REVIEW: Hard to Let Go by Jaclyn Quinn (Haven's Cove #1)

Image
HARD TO LET GO Haven’s Cove - Book One by Jaclyn Quinn Release Date: February 18, 2018 Review A small-town second-chance redemption story.  Some of my favourite tropes. It’s a solid story with a man returning to his hometown and running smack dab into the person he used to bully as a boy. A man he’d very much like to get to know if he can ever get him to forgive him. I really liked both of these guys.  They are both super likable and you really felt the struggle they had trying to move past the things that happened in their childhood. It’s easy to relate to both of them. Whether you were bullied or have been a part of team bully, it’s easy to feel for them. It especially reminds us that sometimes people's actions are entirely their own. Their connection was strong despite Owen’s attempt to fight it, and I’m glad they had the people they did backing them. I especially loved the scene where Brody runs into one of his old ‘friends’. Owen and Brody worked for their relation...

REVIEW: Baiting Burke by Jaclyn Quinn (Shore Thing #5)

Image
BAITING BURKE Shore Thing - Book Five by Jaclyn Quinn Release Date: March 6, 2023 Review I have been dying for this final story in the Shore Thing series for months now, but I have to admit, the closer we got to the release date, the sadder I got, because I absolutely adore this group of friends, and I really, really don’t want it to be over! That being said, it’s hard not to be excited about the book that’s been teased in every other novel. Jared and Burke have been hate flirting since they met, and we just knew our tall beefy anti-love chef was going to fall hard when he finally had to face his feelings for the sexy bait shop owner. And boy they did not disappoint in Baiting Burke. It’s hard to hide from the sexual tension when you are stuck together waiting out a hurricane. And that one night sets them down a path of discovering that there is more to the other, and that their happy life, is missing something. Each other. I adored the push and pull of these two. But I also love...

REVIEW: Navigating Noah by Jaclyn Quinn (Shore Thing #4)

Image
Review: Sweet, sweet Noah. You are the loveliest, kindest, most caring guy ever! You deserve to be wrapped up in a burrito blanket, kept safe, and adored. No joke, I’ve spent half the book crying because he is so caring and he puts everyone before himself, all the while surrounded by his friends who have fallen in love, which is what he wants the most. Gah, Noah, I love you. Also, I’m not one who experiences baby fever, but damn, there is something about a man who’s floundering with being a single father, and then watching him come into the role and embrace it. Especially one who previously only believed in living commitment-free. So lovely. These two had previously had a fling when Hunter had come to visit his best friend Aiden. A weekend Noah hasn’t been able to forget. When Hunter arrives with a baby, Noah can’t help but step up and help out even if it means getting way too attached and most likely having his heart shattered, knowing Hunter will eventually return to New York. It’s...

YBBB Review: Waking Wyatt by Jaclyn Quinn (Shore Thing #3.5)

Image
Review: This was exactly what I love about Jaclyn Quinn’s writing. Laugh out loud and deliciously flirtatious, with a really lovely ending. A novella set in the Shore Thing world. Tristan is staying at the Coral Pointe Inn to plan a wedding for his BFF and business partner Jade. His planning partner is Jade’s father Wyatt. Sexy silver fox Wyatt. These two have a chemistry that’s set to combust, and they are fooling no one, no matter how hard they try. They are both the type to put others' happiness before their own, but damn, maybe it’s time to find their own happiness. These two were really great, and of course, the Shore Thing BFFs and their partners are there to make sure you never have a dull time. 4.5 Stars Free Novella from the YBBB Giveaway https://claims.prolificworks.com/gg/McnpgWRdQEkOTKpYorb6 🕮 Waking Wyatt by @jaclynquinn.books 🔖 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3A52aXg Synopsis: After accidentally bumping into a sexy silver fox in the airport, the last thing eithe...

REVIEW: Landing Levi by Jaclyn Quinn

Image
Review: Levi, sweet, sweet Levi. He’s such a special guy, never having felt like enough for anyone, thanks to his horrible and selfish mother, until he met the boys. This amazing group of guy friends who love fiercely and razz each other just as hard! “What I said earlier… You know that, right? That I’m not going anywhere? I don’t care what kind of family you have or don’t have. I don’t care if you were raised by wolves—unless you’re part werewolf, cuz that would be hot. Just sayin’. I love this series so much, and I wasn’t disappointed for a minute with Levi and Sage. This was a lovely, mushy, perfect feel-good read. With a smidge of sadness just to make sure we get all the feels. Trust me when I say, Levi deserves to be wrapped up in a big ole blanket of love. Thankfully Sage is ready and waiting to do just that. REVIEW: Flustering Ford by Jaclyn Quinn

Image
Review:  “He was comfort and memories and happiness all rolled into one hell of a sexy man” The whole Shore Things gang is amazing but Ford and Abe were especially fun. The chemistry was off the charts and I laughed the whole way through. So much snark with these two! Abe, recently out of a terrible relationship and just going through the motions finally sees what living and happiness should look like. Ford seems to have it all, living on the beach, working with the most awesome group of friends, but there was always the nagging question of why he hadn’t been enough for that one guy. When he gets his second chance…pure joy. Of course, the awesome case of supporting characters helps make this book so great. The ride-or-die best friends, the hilarious sister Gabby and of course wonderful Miss Margie. Though this book can be read on its own, you’ll want to get to know these awesome characters too. I loved every minute of this book. If you are looking for an upbeat book, this is the on...
