AUDIO REVIEW: Forsaken by Sloane Kennedy (The Protectors #4)

Image
FORSAKEN The Protectors - Book Four by Sloane Kennedy Release Date: August 16, 2016 Audio Release Date: October 22, 2018 Review Sloane has incredible skill at writing dark stories that enthrall and hold you close. Flawed men caught up in worlds most wouldn’t understand, but they have love and loyalty that make you want to know them. Mav and Eli are an incredible pairing.  They both have secrets and parts of themselves they are scared to share, but they also can’t seem to stay away from each other. I love how they draw each other out and find love and family. I also highly recommend the audiobook.  It’s top-notch. Sloane’s writing is perfect for audiobooks and with Michael Dean’s skill and talent, you are in for an engaging ride. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I didn't know how to tell him how afraid I'd been that I'd never have this moment with him. This moment where it was just the two of us. This moment where he made me feel whole without even trying. --...

REVIEW: The Rivals of Copper County by May Archer (Copper County #2)

Image
THE RIVALS OF COPPER COUNTY Copper County - Book Two by May Archer Release Date: November 19, 2024 Review You’ll smile the whole way through this story. Watt and Jasper were best friends as teenagers, but rivals too. Rivalry was their love language. When they were pulled apart, assumptions were made, hearts were hurt, and twenty years later they are reeling from seeing each other again. Try as they might to steer clear, they are both drawn to each other, and it doesn’t take long for the rivalry to start up again. And it’s a lot of fun!! They are both easy to love and though they struggle a bit to find their footing, there’s no over-the-top drama or misunderstandings (which, love!). I also highly recommend the audiobook because…Michael Dean. The man knows his stuff, and always does a fantastic job of May Archer’s stories. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis My childhood friend. My biggest rival. The only man I’ve ever wanted. If there were a prize for the most contented m...

AUDIO REVIEW: Delivering Dante by Lucy Lennox (Made Marian #6)

DELIVERING DANTE Made Marian - Book Six by Lucy Lennox Release Date: April 30, 2017 Audio Release Date: June 7, 2017 Narrator: Michael Dean Review Another wonderful addition to a favourite series. It has everything you could want from a Lucy Lennox story - humour, wacky aunts, gorgeous human beings (inside and out), and plenty of beautiful love.  This whole series is built off of found family…a family that keeps growing in such tremendous ways. There are a lot of wild antics but there is also plenty of stirring emotions. Dante’s life before the Marian’s is heartbreaking, and AJ’s involvement as a real-life superhero is beautiful. As is their connection.  I loved Dante learning to own his past, and take control, but I also appreciated the support he took from AJ in the process. It’s going to be really sad when I’ve finished this series. If you're into audiobooks, be sure to check out this one. Michael Dean really seems to get Lucy's writing style and humour. Add to your...

AUDIBLE REVIEW: Moving Maverick by Lucy Lennox (Made Marian #5)

Image
MOVING MAVERICK Made Marian - Book Five by Lucy Lennox Release Date: March 5, 2017 Review The Made Marian series is one of the best out there, which is why I have been dragging it out. No one wants it to be over. It’s hard not to fall for the Marian family. And Maverick is no different, especially when we see him with Beau. Maverick’s grandmother left him to go into foster care when his parents died. Thankfully he found his way to the amazing Marian family, but the rejection has always stung. It also meant leaving Beau, his childhood best friend. When they are reunited at the funeral it’s like no time and all the time has passed. It’s a healing story, with one very lovely local and a boy who gets a chance at love and peace. Seriously, Beau is a fantastic human, even if a little too eager. I loved the growth both of these men went through. And of course, the Marian family is always their amazing supportive selves. Michael Dean does a wonderful job of narrating this story. He seems...
