Jesse and Martin are wonderful, warm men who have battered hearts. Martin has closed his heart after the death of his husband. He never wants to experience that loss again. Meanwhile, Jesse is still reeling from his cheating ex and their divorce. But something between them sparks and makes them want to try again and find some healing in the process.   MAKING WAVES Getaways - Book One by Harper Robson Release Date: April 10, 2024 Review What a wonderful story with some great vacation vibes and a strong sense of found family. Hunter and Penn have known each other for years, but they don’t really know each other. Penn is seen as a wealthy socialite, and it’s clear that Hunter isn’t his biggest fan. But when Penn needs a plus one for a luxury cruise Hunter agrees to go when the rest of their friend group says they can’t go. And we all know how a week of forces proximity goes! All that time together. Late-night talks. On-shore adventures. It gives these two a chance to finally get to know each other beyond the surface, and discover some pretty incredible chemistry.  Overall this story was swoony and fun, but it also had plenty of tender moments to create a touching story. They’ll have your backs, and you’ll want to have theirs. Caring, thoughtful, and passionate about both the people in their lives as well as their work. And together they just fit. There is something comfortable about them.  They work well together, and they just seem to get the other. They are also hot.  There is no real angst between the two, but plenty is surrounding them.   BUILT TO LAST Hot Dam Homes - Book Three by Harper Robson Release Date: June 30, 2023 Review I very much enjoy this series, and this low-angst age-gap addition is a good addition to it. Both Tyler and Sam work for the renovation company Hot Dam Homes.  Sam is cousin to the owners. He comes from a tight family who a dynamic and talented. He loves them all fiercely, but sometimes he feels like he doesn’t quite live up to them. He hasn’t managed to find his person, he lives an average life. Tyler brightens that life. Tyler is a young veteran. He escaped a tough childhood by enlisting, in hopes of getting an education on the other side. Only to come home battered and having lost most of his hearing.
