REVIEW: Smoke Screen by Jacki James (Station 69 #2)

Image
SMOKE SCREEN Station 69 - Book Two by Jacki James Release Date: September 25, 2024 Review I am completely stressed out about this arsonist!! The personal attacks, the fear…STRESSED! But what doesn’t stress me out…Andy and Jesse. They are wonderful. I love a story of growth and self-discovery. Andy struggled after his parents died, he kind of lost himself, but he’s found a job her loves and gives him purpose. But his job also highlights his need for a Daddy. And who better than Jesse. The lovely man is perfect. Strong and caring, and meets people where they are. Especially Andy. Who needs someone to recognize that he both knows himself and will let him let go when needed. “Being with Jesse had changed everything for me. He made me feel safe, loved, and most importantly, he made me feel like I could be myself—no pretenses, no walls. Just Andy. Just his boy.” PS. I adore the whole Station. They are all so wonderful and so close. I love it. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsi...

REVIEW: Top Priority by Cara Dee (The Game Series #1)

TOP PRIORITY The Game Series - Book One by Cara Dee Release Date: August 27, 2019 Review “I love you, Captain. I never stood a damn chance.” I am completely smitten with these two tops who just can’t help but fall in love. This novella is part one of Lucas and Colt’s story. Their meeting & their falling in love. It’s a  complicated falling in love, not just because they are both doms/daddies & tops but because Colt is heading out on deployment shortly after they meet. Lucas during that time just gripped me by the heart, I could feel his emotions - falling for a man while he’s in harms way. Seriously, I adored them, and I’m so excited for the next book and them finding Their Boy. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis The Game Series #1 In a perfect world, Lucas West would meet someone in one of the BDSM communities he was active in, someone who ached for a Daddy Dom as much as Lucas longed for a Little to care for. They would date, play, build something that wa...

REVIEW: Tailor Made by Freesia Woodley (Beau-Ties #5)

Image
TAILOR MADE Beau Ties - Book Five by Freesia Woodley Release Date: March 31, 2024 Review This was a lovely read. Two men with the shared wound of loving someone they both loved, while also sharing a history of bad blood. It’s hard to trust when things start to change, walls are lowered, and feelings grow. But they have a sweet progression, and I love watching Carmelo come into his own. They both have big hearts and it was lovely when they were both able to show it. The kink was a bit unexpected, and for the record, I love kink stories, but some kinks I prefer to be prepared for, regardless, I love witnessing two people finding their perfect pairing. And they are both clearly in their element here. It’s never easy to be reminded of exactly how terrible some families can be, but Freesia does a great job of finding a balance of love and hope against such hate. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis There is a fine line between love and hate. Carmelo Castillo-Luna and Britt Iva...

REVIEW: Bear by Jacki James (The Daddies of River Gorge #2)

Image
Bear The Daddies of River Gorge - Book Two by Jacki James Release Date: May 19, 2023 Review Where can I get my own Bear? The man is a gem amongst Daddies. And Ty, the most perfect boy who never knew was a boy. I adore Daddy/Boy stories that reverse aspects like physical stereotypes. Ty being bigger than Bear doesn’t stop him from being the one in control! Ty is such an incredible guy. Solid, loving, dependable, and oh so kind. He will drop everything to help others, even if it’s at his own expense. And though he has friends and family who love him, he doesn’t have anyone to put him first. Or cheer him on. Until he meets and befriends Bear.  A man who was born to be a carer. It’s what makes him such a good daddy. I really enjoyed this story of these two men finding each other, even though they didn’t know they were looking for them. And Bear’s affection, support, and encouragement before they even became romantic was absolutely adorable. As was Ty starting to see himself as a boy. S...

REVIEW: List Me With Your Best Shot by Isla Olsen (Best Men #2)

Image
LIST ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT Best Men - Book Two by Isla Olsen Release Date: April 17, 2023 Review This is a fun, enemies-to-lovers story between to guys who have been holding a grudge against each other for twenty years but have been unable to escape each other thanks to mutual friends.  Mutals who have just gotten married. If there’s one way to get me invested in a story, it’s to give me a guy who’s broken for the one he can never have.  I know he’ll find ‘the real one for him’ in the end, but the heartbreak, the longing, the ‘why am I not good enough’ will make me tear up every single time. And then for him to confess to the absolute worst person you could, one who has taken a lot of pleasure in making him miserable over the years, I wanted to whisk Jake away and hug him. I enjoyed the evolution of this relationship and the give-and-take/competing lists. I appreciated that it wasn’t just about Jake getting out of his comfort zone. There is a lot of trust that is built...
