REVIEW: Relocation by BH Lynn (Resititution #1)

RELOCATION Restitution Series - Book One by BH Lynn Release Date: March 29, 2024 Review The start of a four-part series following two damaged men who are going to have a bumpy path. The two detectives are assigned as partners when Adam moves temporarily to Peyton for a fresh start of sorts. Their personalities are different, but they both share a deep level of trauma and pain. Which is helpful and a hindrance all at the same time. While they work together to solve cases their personalities and stories are revealed. And while some secrets are revealed, there are more to come.  What is clear is that they have great chemistry and could definitely share something special. This isn’t going to be a quaint small-town story…think realism - somewhat gritty and dark, with difficult struggles and some terrible people. But we’ll also get to solve some crimes along the way, which is bound to keep things interesting. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Homicide Detective Adam Dawson’s lif

REVIEW: The Fake Husband Deal by Ana Ashley (Spencer Brothers #2)

Image
THE FAKE HUSBAND DEAL Spencer Brothers - Book Two by Ana Ashley Release Date: March 29, 2024 Review These two are fools for thinking anything between them was fake!!  Let me tell you, their chemistry was off the charts and super hot.  They were also charming AF. Noah is the oldest of the Spencer brothers, and no matter how close they are, he’s always felt a little left out of the twin bond of his siblings. Not fully seen.  He’s incredibly loyal and thoughtful, but he plays a role. It’s not until Lior…Lior sees him, sees behind the facade.  Lior is one sexy silver fox, who has long given up on a happy ever after. Until Noah. The man willing to give him his family's legacy and his home. And he doesn’t want anything for himself in return. He’s a beautiful person, and I adore them both. The story is steamy and fun, and has plenty of drama to keep you from putting the book down.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Love, as it turns out, is the most complicated deal of all. REVIEW: The Virgin by EM Denning (Breakfast at Bennett's #1)

Image
THE VIRGIN Breakfast at Bennett’s - Book One by EM Denning Release Date: March 28, 2024 Review A confession and an offer = some hot sexy times and a sweet HEA. Such a cute story. BFF to lovers will always be my favourite, and Jonah and Spencer were a wonderful pairing. Fellow teachers who just clicked on Jonah’s first day. They have great chemistry and are fantastic friends, which makes for an excellent basis for their arrangement. Spencer is a great teacher. I would happily accept my own bear of a man to tell me what to do!  Of course, our boys worry about their growing feelings and fear that the other might not feel the same. But the prospect of Jonah going on a date makes sure these two figure out exactly what they want. Swoon! We also get to know their other BFF Damon, and the rest of the Bennett clan, who no doubt will be equally entertaining. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Jonah Bennett is a virgin. At twenty-seven, his inexperience is the most humiliating secret

REVIEW: Up All Night by Annabeth Albert (Mount Hope #1)

Image
UP ALL NIGHT Mount Hope - Book One by Annabeth Albert Release Date: March 28, 2024 Review This was like a warm hug. Just a delicious coming together of two older (40ish) men who have found themselves drawn together. Set in Mount Hope (love small towns!) with a group of friends and first responders who are at the centre of it all.  As this is book one we get an introduction to the friends, who are largely brought back together again over the desire to help one of them after his husband dies, along with his children (who are wonderful). I liked the narrative around our Irish fighter, Sean. He’s come to Mount Hope needing a change after his divorce, which was amicable (no ex-drama here!). He’s a bit of an eager puppy which is sweet and endearing from our burly 40ish ginger. And he has to figure out how to reign those instincts in so as not to scare Denver away. Because Denver…he’s a skittish one. Having grown up being moved from foster home to foster home has set his path for him.  Afra

REVIEW: Mike Bravo Ops: Zeus by Eden Finley (Mike Bravo Ops #4)

Image
MIKE BRAVO OPS: ZEUS Mike Bravo Ops - Book Four by Eden Finley Release Date: March 28, 2024 Review I love this zany group of men. They are a wild bunch, with little impulse control and a penchant for blowing things up. But they also have big hearts. And that’s proven when Zeus is assigned to finding Callie the young man who wound up helping his ex try and kill some of their team. Callie made some bad decisions under the thumb of abuse, but he’s also a survivor, and that’s what’s kept him alive while on the run. Zeus is wonderful. His reputation is that of a playboy, with little interest in growing up, and definitely not into settling down. But our boy has layers, and sweet Callie is the only one who’s managed to peel them back.  They both have some reckoning to do with their personal demons, but having someone believe in you helps a lot with finding the strength to do it. It was a great journey, and there were plenty of shenanigans to keep you from putting the book down. Add to your
