REVIEW: Akira by Kota Quinn (Black Cat Circus: Pearl of Fate #3)

AKIRA Black Cate Circus: Pearl of Fate - Book Three by Kota Quinn Release Date: April 26, 2024 Review One of the things I enjoy about series like this is they push me out of my usual box. Kitsune you say? First I’ve heard of it, but now I have a foxy kink. I loved the ‘trying to not like him, but fate has other ideas’ vibes. Rivery is wary of Akira, the intriguing man who largely keeps to himself. River’s life is also in upheaval having finally been united with his brother, learning of the paranormal, and trying to decide the direction of his life. Akira is also trying to figure out what’s next in life. Having fled his home from people after him for his fur. Leaving behind his best friend. These two have the perfect connection - one kitsune, one human obsessed with kitsune lore and is the basis for their being able to build trust, friendship, and ultimately love. They have some fantastic chemistry, full of exploration. But also plenty of sweetness and lovely support for one anoth...

REVIEW: Juniper Evergreen by Kota Quinn (Merry Elf-Mas #2)

JUNIPER EVERGREEN Merry Elf-Mas - Book Two by Kota Quinn Release Date: December 10, 2023 Review Such a fantastic Christmas story with a hilarious meet-cute of sorts. When I read Jingle, the first book in this series, I was super excited to meet Juniper. The soon-to-be elf who was older than most of the others and not your usual elf size. Along with Alec, our resident photographer who turns heads wherever he goes. I just knew they were going to be perfect together.  And I wasn’t wrong! They both try and fight it, knowing Alec won’t be long. But with chemistry like that, it’s hard to stick to ‘roommate rules’.  I love Kota’s writing, she’s given us such warm and caring men who know how to put the naughty into christmas. She also allows these men to explore their feelings and relationship while also becoming wonderful friends. A wonderful addition to this Frostdale Mall crew. I’m looking forward to meeting all the others.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis ...

REVIEW: Dsiplay Me by Kota Quinn (Bear-4-U Series)

Image
DISPLAY ME Bears 4-U Series by Kota Quinn Release Date: February 10, 2023 Review This was such a good story with some really great guys who have so many layers and depths. It’s a delicious slow burn between two guys who hate each other, except they really don’t. For two years they’ve been driving each other crazy while also wanting to drive each other crazy (wink wink). As a photographer and a wedding planner, as well as neighbours, they can’t avoid one another completely. And when they end up working on the same wedding they find themselves maybe not hating it. But they each also have a side to themselves the other knows nothing about, a kinky side. One that leads them to be on the Bears-4-U app, where they unknowingly match. What follows is a really sweet and sexy story as Kingston and Jamie get to truly know each other in all facets of their lives. Letting the other see their complete selves, and helping to repair the damage of their past relationships. I especially loved King...

REVIEW: Mistletoe Wishes & Hookups by Kota Quinn (Home for the Holiday Series)

Image
MISTLETOE WISHES & HOOKUPS Home for the Holidays Series by Kota Quinn Release Date: December 2, 2022 Review Kota Quinn’s first solo novel, a small-town Christmas story with all the holiday feels. Including a lovely age gap, a taller femme guy, and a whole lot of ‘you should talk about it’!  Is it possible to fall in love twice? Because these two manage it. After of course, a series of misunderstandings and missed moments to communicate and overcome some past relationships. Mixed of course with a hot connection and some sweet dates. The story has it all. The small town of Skystead, Maine makes for a lovely backdrop of the romance, complete with a meddling (but loving) seniors squad, quaint stores, and some fun side characters (that maybe we’ll see their own stories for!). Nathan and Elijah are wonderful guys, and you’ll love curling up with these two for some holiday goodness and a sweet happy ever after.
